The last three days I have read post after post about how everyone is betting on the Rockies. Am I missing something here? They have one of the worst road records in baseball and everyone is knocking each other down in line to get their bet in on them? Why? Because Pittsburgh sucks? Pittsburgh has a better record than Colorado and a good home record vs. Colorado's 19 games under .500 road record. The last two days everyone has been betting on two pitchers with an ERA over 6 for Colorado. Today everyone is still all over them. I know Cooke is better than the last two bums they threw out but last time Cooke pitched on the road against Cincinnati everyone was on the Reds, now everyone is on Colorado. Pittsburgh is no worse than Cincinnati! Hard to figure out.

Wow, One of the biggest public plays of the day are on a road favorite 17 games under .500 against a team with a better overall record and a winning home record. The fascination with Colorado is quite interesting.

Just because they win tonight doesn't change the fact that people have been betting on them heavy all week and this is the first game they have won in this series.

7-4 winner. Some reasons people was playing them was.
Colorado just crush them at Denver.
This week Nady and Marte was traded and SD beat them that night, Sanchez hurt his back. LaRoche and Caps went on DL. They had to did up a few of their AAA guys to fill in.
This team is in real trouble because the Cubs, who are heathy again, come to town on Friday and will crush this banged up team.

Wally , there is a simple reason why everyone was all over Colorado going into this series on Monday. And that is their 9-1 record in their previous 10 games including just sweeping the Reds in Cincy. They were a hot team and mashing the ball. Always bet on a team when they get on a roll. They've made me a lot of money over the past couple weeks, even losing 2 out of 3 to Pitt puts them at 10-3 over the last 2 weeks.

I agree.....I broke even on plays with Rocks TT over.
They are crushing the ball, G1 and 2 were both only 4 runs,,,,,against poor starters.
Pitt has terrible pitching.

Here's the point. Last weekend they played at Cincinnati and almost everyone was betting on Cincinnati. They sweep Cincinnati and then go to Pittsburgh and everyone who was just betting against them all of a sudden loves them against pittsburgh (who has a record equal to or slightly better than that of cincinnati). people are fickle and only remember yesterday or five minutes ago. that's why almost all bettors lose. go check out big bookies posts almost every night. people really are that stupuid. i can understand if you bet on colorado against cincinnati and stayed on the hot streak but people were betting against them while they were winning then jumped on board. as usual, they were a dollar short and a day late.
