I'm confused as to why they dont have a line for Freitas vs Grigorian and Ouma vs Candelo. Whats the deal?

I have found that if you contact them directly
they may take action them. Basically if they
perceive there to be interest, then they act.

They should take the initiative to post lines on as many fights as possible, especially HBO and Showtime televised fights. That is the Olympic that I had grown accustomed to. I probably would have given them action on the Green/Lucas bout, but they posted their lines very very late.

Yes, Olympic has been napping lately in the boxing department. There was a time when fights were listed from top to bottom.

They have obviously severly decreased their fight offerings. I am guessing it will stay on the small side from here on out.

Just speculation, but I think they might have got hit a little too hard offering lines on all those different fights (and to think some people complained about the juice being too high, LOL).

One good thing is other books have started putting out boxing lines on their own with less Joey/OLY/5Dimes cloning which helps thoseof us who like to shop.

Major is reporting across the street that Joey is in the hospital. Joey, I hope you have a quick recovery.

Joey is the boxing guy responsible for Olympic putting up such a high volume of fight lines. He has been "sick" for like a year now. He's a young guy - I dont know what the deal is. Major is probably a guy from 5dimes. 5dimes is affiliated with Olympic.

Right

Major is Russ, owner of MajorWager.com, a competing forum to this one. Has nothing to do with 5Dimes. Sorry for the confusion. Here is the thread he posted.

They have no affiliation. Joey has mention that he and the boxing guy at 5Dimes discuss lines, but Olympic the book and 5Dimes the book have no affiliation.

They have to have an affiliation because the boxing guy at 5dimes told me I could transfer money from my account at Olympic to my 5dimes account.

Almly:

You can do that with almost all the Top 15 sportsbooks. That doesn't mean anything. I can transfer money from Olympic to WSEX, Intertops...doesn't matter.

Yes indeed, sportsbook transfers are very common amongst the elite sportsbooks. Books such as Pinnacle, Olympic/BetJamaica, etc.. And it is very common that they are done free of charge by the transferring book.

Really? That doesnt make sense to me. I'm suprised a book would transfer money from your account to a competing sports book. Whats their logic behind that?

I was surprised to learn of this also. But in the end, it is just another added service that a book provides to satisfy the customer. The good thing is that books will only do the transfers with select books.

So in a sense, they have their own list of trusted sportsbooks.
