Why does it take so long for poker sites to process a Neteller withdrawal?

I have played at a couple sites around the net, and I've yet to find one that pays like a Pinnacle or an Olympic in terms of speed.

They all seem to quote things like "2 days" for a cashout. Isn't there enough competition amongst these sites that someone would offer the near-instant (within an hour during standard business hours) payouts that seem to be a moot point when discussing top sportsbooks? Seems like it would be a good feature to put you up on the competition.

Sorry to rant but I'm sick of my payouts being stuck in an 24-48 hour "internal review" process which to the best of my knowledge consists of Party Poker waiting 36 hours and then clicking "Approve".

You usually have to cash out a few times before it only takes 2 days. I know on Party your first cash out can take up to 10 days, and thats pretty normal.

In fact now that i think of it, Most of my Party Poker cashouts are there within 12 hours, some instant(except on weekends, they sometimes take 2 or 3 days)

And I know of a lot of sportsbooks that take much longer than a week

I'm with you...it's BS. I've played with Party for a while and I've noticed that the amount of time it takes them to pay me depends on the size of the cashout. As a matter of fact, I had to call for two recent cashouts that took >48hrs.

swami is right on target here! Partypoker takes about 7 days for hte VERY first payout1 They check and RECHECK your ID andm ake sure that you do not have multiple accounts. Then they MUST call you on the phone and such.

But on the bright side of things, i have received a $16,000 payout from partypoker in the past when I won a $12,000 satellite tourney
