Why Does Adam Dunn get no respect?

I was sad to see Dunn leave the Nats as he put up 38 or so HRs a year. The guy can jack them out so easily and is great at drawing walks. Last year he was a little less patient behind the plate and swung at stuff he hadn't in the past and was able to bring his average up i believe. I would take this HR total over as he will have more rest getting to DH and a better chance of staying healthy

Dude won't play any defense but he probably has more pure power than any other MLB player. I never thought his HR total would hold steady playing in Washington. He impressed me there.

I do believe Howard has more pure power. Granted, I'm a Phillies homer, but Howard makes it look more effortless.

Mike Stanton of the Marlins could have them both topped, however. Could blast 35 this year as a 22 year old. Insane.

Howard is in the discussion but I'll go with Dunn every time since he has done it in huge parks and Howard hits his in a little league field.

BINGO. He will be the fulltime DH this year, so some of those weaknesses are gone.

Yea glorified beer league softball players jack 40 HRs for 8 straight years pretty much. Check the OBP and you see he is a premier hitter. You can hide his fielding a lot of the time as well, but like FW said that is why the DH is perfect for him

150+ games into the season, he has back-to-back multi-hit games for the first time this season. He is now batting .168, his highest since July 4
