Why does Abortion an issue in an election?

I am so frustrated over the fact that there are so many ignorant one issue voters that vote for a candidate solely on the fact that they are Pro-Life.

Abortion is what it is and will not be changed by a Pro-Life candidate that is elected to office. Abortion is a personal choice and a personal matter. It comes back to LACK OF RESPONSIBILITY! I can not say whether I am for or against abortion but I can say that I am responsible enough that I will not put myself in that position.

There are many one horse voters, including pro-abortionists. Tree huggers, gun lovers, gun haters, gays, unions, anti-war, womens' rights, NAACP, Jewish, animal rights, socialists, libertarians.........
