Why do some gamblers put such a large percentage of their bankrolls on the Superbowl?

Keep in mind, I said "some". For the life of me, I can never figure it out. I realize there are some viewers that don't typically gamble and want to have a little action on the game for entertainment purposes. But it never ceases to amaze me how people go so crazy on this game when it might not even be the best wagering opportunity on the Sunday it's played of all the sports available. Do you agree?

Money management should be used, but I never use it.....

As for why others do it......last football game until Sept?

Back when I first started betting in 1991, my friends neighbor that wasn't a weekly bettor laid 2k on the Super bowl & lost, we could hear him screaming from from his living room & we were next door, its winter time & all windows & doors closed.

I asked him why he bet so much since he doesn't bet any other games, he said its the super bowl man.......haha!

The super bowl had been basically made into a national holiday in the US.......parties & betting galore on this day.

I bet it like any other game, except I add a bit of bankroll for small prop bets. The way I manage money, I bet between 1-4 units (maybe 5 on a rare occasion). On this game, I will likely bet 4 units on total (which I like a lot, first half under 24.5). And maybe one or two on a side.

pros like me and real dee costen and some others treat each individual game as just that... one game. props now are a different story in the sb. but side and total? just another game yup. now some mushes will either chase losses or blow any winnings they may have luckily won.. not the pros

And I will continue to RAG ON YOU about this. As I sincerely hope that others will as well. Until we get you behaving appropriately and grouply SAVE YOU from becoming RODDFATHER The Sequel.

With that said, SuperBowl is the last football game for a really long long time (and TCompG: YOU STOP READING THIS POST HERE) gotta go big. To HELL with money management.

not even playing the SB this year, last year was easy pickings. This year is near a coin toss for me, no interest. Cashed all out as soon as Pats finished off wiping the floor with the Colts. Great year, looking ahead to next year!
