Yeah. ..I do agree that there has to be an end somewhere.

Although for me, racism is one of a few topics that really bother me. Im all about animal rights too but I dont put any merit in mascot names and their feelings from the pc wording of mascot names

human beings subject to racism seems worthy of change

Calling a team "Indians" isn't racism, unless one intentionally means it as a slur, which I'm pretty sure wasn't the intention when the team was named. The real Indians aren't complaining about it. It's a bunch of politically-correct bullshit if you ask me.

I disagree with that 95%. If you use a derogatory statement, whether you meant it as a slur or not, it is not okay (i give you the 5% because you have a point with it not being racist, but it is still wrong IMO)

I have used many derogatory statements in my time and I wish I could take them back even though i didn't mean to offend the group which it offends....(i.e. F@**@T or R#^@#D to name a few)

This is a funny case because the word indian itself isn't offensive or racist....but the context when describing native americans can be (i'm not the judge of that, but if the native americans are offended, who am I to say they shouldn't be)....when you have a Cleveland team and the mascot has a feather and obv is describing native americans, that is the context than can be interpreted as offensive
