Really though, why is it that people (gamblers) follow or tail other gamblers?
I would bet that as many as fifty members of this forum have no clue whatsoever or perhaps a solid lead as to which way their bet/money will go---none!
They simply hope and trust that the person they're tailing hits but little do they know that the same person they're tailing knows very little about the wager he placed himself. A vast majority of the plays wagered here stem from simple guesswork and nothing more.
Sure he may look at how a team has done over the past ten games or what the pitcher's record is but other than that, he has little knowledge about the money he's putting out for the sportsbook's profitable gain.
Take the current NBA conference finals going on tonight. I must have read close to twenty-five threads today, threads by gamblers, not cappers because they're are none, and the message that was conceived in almost all of those threads was nothing more than a pile of guesswork. I saw nothing from anyone that convinced me that either side would prevail tonight or that the total number of points scored would exceed the posted total set by the oddsmakers.
Guys it's the same information day in and day out on the forum. Tomorrow the tide will turn of course toward the Cavs and Magic but the various threads will carry the same kind of information, the only wording different being the name of the two teams competing.
Then as one person completes his thread, he begins opening others and soon his mind or wagering decision begins to wonder because he likes what the next person has to say. He then becomes totally convinced as he looks up at the top of that same person's thread and sees his posted record of 22-10 over the past seven days or so.
Wow! This guy must be good.
Fellows in short, there isn't one reputable or consistent hoops person on here just as there isn't one on the mlb or hockey forum and to convice me otherwise would be nothing more than a joke. Everyone is the same, though one or two may spend a little more time gathering a few extra stats but that person is no closer to knowing how his wager is going to turn out than the next person.
We're all gamblers on here and to follow or tail another person is like handing him your money to play for you even though his knowledge is no greater than your own, that being a guess and the excitement that follows as you watch two teams playing with your money at stake.
A winning guess and the excitement grows for another day; a losing guess and the excitement quickly turns to negative thoughts, like why did I play them or why did I tail that person, etc, etc, etc.
It's gambling and each of us knows no more than the next person posting his selections from day to day, above or below our own thread. To follow or tail someone else is like following a blind horse.
The bottom line in all of this is that we're all better off deciding for ourselves if we choose to gamble with our own money.

Above is your post yesterday. The reply sore winner is classic.

Today it sounds like the guy you tailed lost for you.

Obviously I disagree with your post. I look for well reasoned plays here and will bet it if I agree. Don't unnecessarily tail anyone but if it makes sense by whoever posts it, I'll bet it. I try to do the same in my write-ups, well reasoned. Look at today's I thought I did a decent job. My writeups progress as the week goes on

If you are going to gamble to make money, you need to do your own due diligence.

If you gamble due to a compulsion and a need for action tailing gamblers is a loser's game. Check and see which group you fall into.

I post to keep myself in check with chasing. I promised myself to post every bet I make. After a loss I want to chase at times, put having to post my chase in front of you all keeps me in check.
