Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Kerry older now than Bush was in 2000? Going back you may right...let's see...
2000: Bush v. Gore -- about the same
1996: Clinton vs. Dole -- yes
1992: Clinton vs. Bush I -- yes
1988: Bush vs. Dukakis -- about the same?
1984: Reagan vs. Mondale -- both old, Reagan older
1980: Reagan vs. Carter -- Reagan a bit older I think
1976: Carter vs. Ford -- not sure? About the same?
1972: Nixon vs. McGover -- Nixon older??

I don't really think it's a trend, just that Clinton was young and Reagan was old and that's 4 elections worth of data.

Kerry is 60 I think and Edwards is 51 though Edwards looks a lot younger. Great run-down but,as you said, Reagan scews the limited data.
Historically Teddy Roosevelt and Lincoln were young in the GOP column so maybe they should go back to younger ones! But, I guess people lived shorter lives then, too.

When your young and don't say your a democrat, it prove's you don't hve a heart; as you grow up and don't become a republican, it proves you don't have a brain.

People are living longer and when the democrats can no longer scare the elderly, it looks for a repulican administration in times to come, whether HE be young or old. Could have run Rumfeild, Guiliani, Bush II, Cheney, and maybe even McCain and he would beat anything the demis had to offer.

Always remember though: Kerry needs a guy like Bush to run against, in fact, if it wasn't Bush that he was runnning against, he would have to 'invent' one.

Actually, I believe Dubya is younger than Kerry. He was two years behind Kerry at Yale.
