The worst IMO is the guys who have 50 units on one game and then still post 1-3 unit games...I mean WTF, are you really betting 50 and 1 unit games, I sure hope not, but why would you even say you are?
any poster who lists a dollar amount for his plays is lying .
every damn one of them...
i would be willing to bet the average bet size for anything posted in the sports rooms is less than $ 100 .

The one that comes to mind is Mr. Newlywed.....guy claims to bet thousands on games. Yet, he loses constantly. Then when he wins a contest, I think he won under $50, he creates a thread asking Wil when his account will be credited. That guy is a joke.
I disagree with the lying part. Of course there are some people that throw around big #'s to try to give themselves credibility, but that's not always the case.
I'd actually prefer to see units and a $/unit listed(ideal world). We have posters that surely range from extremely wealthy to borderline broke college students.
There are always phonies, but I don't think it's anywhere near as many as you think.
Dollar amount means absolutely nothing when posting plays. And even better is when they cut and paste the ticket into the thread and that's supposed to prove that they have a large wager when anyone can just change the amount. Units and record is all that really matters.
here in ky,we call people like harrington,FULL OF SHITThis thread is nothing more than a hot load of bullshit.
Here is more truthful assessment of this here situation.

good post labeeb, you have always been of of the very few on here, that i pay any attention to.I found it interesting when many people said that the inexperienced set that were the ones constantly proclaiming how much they wager, what they drove, and how big their dick is. Perhaps it's like this in the sports forums, but it seems as though here in Offshore that I find many vets doing the same thing. It could be for the purposes of establishing credibility, however I think a lot of it has to do with ego and self-image.
On the side topic of how people report plays, etc. I'm shocked not one person has referred to ROI. It has been eluded to, but not directly cited. It is the only real measure of success in this game. When I was posting my horse matchups I did so with record, +/- units, and ROI. The combination of those things along with the community of posters watching out for those that go from 1 to 50 units in plays I think keeps everyone honest.
