why do books cancel when they mess up but not when we mess up

Wil...he shouldn't be -6.5 -155...I think the +/- is right just the players are wrong

After Wade going crazy I think they had a good prop pinny, but messed up the spots...Still after that prop was up 45 mins and they saw action, as well as people calling in and asking about it AND guaranteeing the bet...they shouldn't pull it...someone Fu*ked up in there control room

It is defintely the right thing to do in this case without any doubt's, anytime the line is upside down common sense its no action, it was an honest mistake, nobody is perfect everybody makes mistakes, in case you dont you are not doing your job....

Doesn't seem like there's much to investigate. The prop was reversed, meaning it's a 13 point error. Pinnacle, like all other books, covers themselves with:

"Pinnacle Sports reserves the right to cancel any wager made on an obviously "bad" line or a wager made after an event has started."

I'd say a 13 point error on a prop falls under the obvious category.

Situation sucks but....

It is their buisness and they can do whatever they want.

I think that is a good question...but I don't think anyone should blame them for cancelling the bets when it was an obvious error on the line.

But you are right, it shouldn't be a one way street. If a player calls in and says he made an error, they should correct it/cancel their wager. I believe Olympic will let you do that if you call in right away.

I think Olympic is a great book and I really like the fact they allow players to cancel a wager if it is an error. I have never had to use that option, but I always see it on the screen when I place bets online.

I think all books should allow a player to cancel a wager if he calls immediately after placing the bet to say it was an error. But by leaving that window open, it could open a whole can of worms when it comes to disputes and probably isn't worth the headache.

it's defintely going to open up a whole can of worms, example: if you make a mistake and call them instantly and tell them you made a mistake and bet the wrong side, what happens if they take a wager on the backside in between while you are calling them? if its a bad line the bet should be cancelled automactically, but I think it should be up to the book to cancel the bet if it was the right line, simply because if they got a buy back in between, that's a no brainer...
