Right, nothing wrong with a business trying to expand its market.

But it annoys me that Jesse Jackson thinks a sport is obligated to expand its fan base to certain minorities. Some people like NASCAR, some people don't. That isn't NASCAR's fault.

Overall, good move by NASCAR. If all goes well, they increase their market ($$$) while doing the "right thing".

Last year Nascar was shaken down by Jesse Jackson. They made a "donation" to Jackson's organization.

There is currently one black driver - Bill Lester - in the Craftsmen Truck Series - driving for an underfunded team.

Joe Henderson lll is the first driver in the "drive for diversity" program.

He is currently driving a late model owned by Bobby Hamilton in a series at Nashville.

His father Joe Henderson ll was a part-time crew member for Wendell Scott in the late 60's.
