Because as ive said many times McCain is no Bush supporter and they actually hate each other. McCains "reaching across the aisle" has been happenning for years leading to such jewels as McCain/Feingold. McCain will be a horrible President in MHO but again thats 12 times better than his opponent will be.

as far as reaching across the aisle, campaign finance reform is not exactly a "maverick" issue to work with the dems on.
