Pete, you have to know I'm a Bama guy and not too concerned about LSU. I give you respect because you know/study/love Tiger
football just like I do Alabama. Miles was 10-3 in 2013. He was 8-5 in 2014. 9-3 in 2015 then after I believe 4 games (2-2) in
2016 was fired.

Being honest my friend...do you believe the current coaching staff will do any better? I don't.
fired.

Yes, I do. LSU's issue has always been lack of a true QB and an offensive approach that takes advantage of the athletes that Louisiana produces annually. The defense has always been there, and that won't diminish. If Orgeron can find the right OC some serious pieces will fall into place. Miles was never going to take that step.....he proved that at Lambeau field in January 2016.

LSU fired their OC from last year and named long time TEs coach the guy to run the offense. Granted, i give you
LSU will be tough on defense. What would give ANY Tiger fan confidence with the offense?

Respect you Pete...but .................

Pete: LSU wasn't too shabby (offensively) when Jim Taylor was knocking down defensive backs like bowling pins when he was carrying the ball for LSU.

you mean like Greg McElroy, JP Wilson, Jalen Hurts, Jake Coker, and Blake Sims?

Les ain't getting a job for 1 reason: he's too old. Who wants to bring in a 64 year old coach to revive a program?

The LSU OC hire was downright stupid. Ed O is a dead-man walking. Ed couldn't get along w/ a Canada and now they hire the TE's coach? Yeah, that'll work....or he'll run the offense that Ed wants to run; the same boring crap that Les was running. Pete is right, they need a QB (just like any college program that wants to succeed). But there's some bad decisions being made in Baton Rouge w/ that football program. I don't think getting rid of Les as a bad move....but hiring Ed O was.

RT.....I think that comparison isn't right. LSU has always had play makers on the outside, but the toss dive O doesn't compliment what they could do. I have been say this for years.

don't think he was blacklisted I think he's talking out of the side of his mouth when he says he is desperate to coach again. Few times in life can you collect $10M by not working and that money dissolves the second he takes a coaching job. I think he sees this hiatus through then comes back as either HC or an average power-5 program or DC of a major power-5 program

125k/mo for 6.5 years? sign me up

I agree.. hoping he is the next head coach at michigan.
