That is the most ridiculous reasoning I have heard in a long time. I won on the Cards yesterday(as a Cub fan) and I like the Cubs today. Lilly earned his spot on the all-star team. With his 3.35 ERA and if he had recieved any run support he probably would be sitting on 11 or 12 wins. Calling this line a result of people chasing yesterday's losses shows how much you really know.

There is absolutely no relationship between a series played in May and this one being played in July. The Cubs have lost 2 series in St Louis and won 1 series here.

This is simple. If you like STL today then say you like the price on a STL team that is playing better baseball than the Cubs right now. You don't need to attach hypothetical system plays and theories about yesterday's losers to it. I simply like the Cubs today because they are one of the better home teams in the league and they have a huge pitching advantage. And those are facts.

I agree. Iwould be surprised if they didn't win at least 2 of the 3 remaining games. They simply have better pitching after you get by Carpenter.

System play or not the smart money was the cards +1.5.

The cubs have averaged 3.7 runs for him in the last 10 starts(6-4) and 5 of those 10 were 1 run games. the 3 runs in the first were a gift ansd I doubt they score more...

Cards +1.5(-130) was the best bet IMO..glad I took it even though they are down now 3-1
