Cavs are a good team and all, but Houston should be favored. Yao WILL have a big game. Houston will win, unless the Cavs get some help from the refs.

Because the Rockets are very solid and the cavs are not that good on the road.

Cavs suck on the road, they need to play all away games.

CrazyB here is my take on this (need to be brief since i'm at work)

houston in the last 25 games vs eastern teams has a SU record of 18-7
Clevland vs Western teams on the road has a SU record of 17-8

so a line at a pick or so seems pretty accurate as it can go either way.

things to consider Clev is kicking off a road trip so they are probably looking to start this off with a win

Houston though they have a good record (above) are a little banged up. T-Mac is out (he is a big reason for their past performance vs east) Yao ming was banged up a little last game and Artest also got dinged a little last game

This I think justifies a little fav towards Clev. But the higher the line goes the More the SU stat will no longer apply and the value may be lost

good luck mate

:ohno:
18-10 su, 16-12 ats

actually clev is 10-10 ATS on the ROAD since end of november on the ROAD. So given that they are not really as great as you make them seem.

Mind you vs wESTERN TEAMS THAT A DIFFERENT STORY

the thread title tells you all you need to know.

the play should be houston or nothing. especially on a small card night like tonight. the line is begging for Clev action. NOT the side I want to be on most times. GL either way

Houston looks like a good play at home, but I would never bet against LBJ on primetime national TV.. just not a smart thing to do

And that is not nearly as good as they are at home, and Houston is a very good team.

gtfo homer.

:think2:

thanks captain obvious. one loss at home and they arent as good on the road? get out!

HOU is 13-15-1 ats @home. CLE has a better road ats record than HOU does at home.

fwiw, houston is a garbage team without McGrady! Who else can lead them to a first round exit in the playoffs?????

I heard the comparison earlier today...."McGrady is the modern day Dominique Wilkins". He is a great offensive player, but his contribution does not always lead to more wins. Sure, rather have him than not have him, but this team has done well the last 2 years without Yao and McGrady.
This is not a game I think is necessary to wager on, but if you do I'd still say Houton.
