Since there are a lot of cappers here that don't get noticed I'm guessing people feel they have to be arrogant in order to get noticed.

I can't stand some of these cappers who have this cockiness...you look in their thread's, and its like theyre almost insulted people are asking them questions about their plays/systems..its like theyre saying "Look, be happy I'm posting my plays for you scum, and stfu with your inquiries." Also people who cant stop bringing up their records, not only of the current year, but of past years...one thing is if someone asks what youre record is, but some of these guys can't go a few posts without throwing it in peoples faces

I think alot of it is that we are all hiding behind a computer screen so we can try and flex muscles here. Im quite sure the tone would be different if this was a forum where everyone knows everyone. It seems that the posters that have met are much nicer to each other. I, for one, think that all the bashing, etc is a waste of time. Maybe it has to do with age, now that Im in my late 30s I have mellowed considerably.

Is my tagline arrogant?

I guess it depends on your definition on arrogant that would determine which catagory I fit in.

I never bash a poster for asking questions, but I will not hesitate to tell people my record and past history. I dont do this to pat myself on the back. I only do this to give people some confidence as to who they are following.

Its kind of like your stock broker. If hes been picking winners for the past 10 years hes going to tell you all about it as he should.

Telling people your record is not the same as being arrogant.

Interesting variety of opinions. Arrogance, cockiness, swagger, boasting etc. etc. are all attributes of many successful people. Not everybody is totally humble like Ace-Ace. If professional athletes did not possess that character trait, many of them would still be amateur athletes. Personally, I like it. Sometimes it can get out of hand, but it comes with the territory, IMO. As far as posting records, I see people complain, when posters don't include their record on a regular basis. This is the 1st thread, where I read that some people are offended by record updates. Can't have it both ways!

Have always found that the true pros, talk very little about how they do. Certainly never brag.

very sharp post, and thats all I was trying to say..I wasnt calling anyone out, or complaining about updating records, but those who make the jump from updating their record, to bragging to no end about it..

Bear Bryant made a statement that I have always remembered. "It costs you nothing to be nice, but the rewards can be immeasureable" Everyone likes recognition but it seems the newer posters talk the loudest whereas the older more veteran posters are a little quieter. LT:103631605
