And I bet a majority of you are under the age of 23 that do this but you guys need to get some common sense on the way to your losses.

A percentage of people that post here actually have a damn clue and have been doing this for some time and have a little bit of experience and I just don't understand:

A) Not keeping units W/L in baseball
B) Claiming "locks"
C) Laying the chalk over -150
D) Just being dumbasses

A lock with the Blue Jays today? Are you kidding me? Hit the road rookie. I'm just venting at immature posters I guess. Sorry if I offended anyone.

Dead on Boss. And most of the posters that make those threads are "newbies" and usually have under 1,000 posts. I mean if you can't win money in baseball, then you probably aren't going to win in football. I'd rather take a -300 ML in football than baseball any day of the week.

Just curious. I'm not one of those people making claims, but what do you mean by have less than 1,000 posts?

So, the fact that anyone can rack up 1,000 posts in any given week makes them a mature bettor?

Is that what you are saying?

No, what he is saying is for the most part the veteran posters here don't make 'lock' claims or 'play of the century' claims.
99 out of 100 of such claims seem to come from newbies trying to make a name for themselves.
And 99 out of 100 of said newbies have less than 1000 posts.

No. I'm saying usually the post with locks in the titles are from newbies. We all know there is no such thing as a lock. If there was, there would be no sportsbooks to take our action, and god knows what sites we would be posting at...

Thanks for the clairification; i'm a "newbie" by your standards and was curious as to what you meant by under 1,000 posts, because really, that doesn't mean anything. Boss hog has just over 1,000 and he's the one who started this thread; perhaps you may want to set your mark a little higher next time. BOL with your plays.

But I think you can look at the date people signed up as well. I was here in May of 2007 and I don't post that often but have been doing this for a long time. I just can't understand some of the posters here.

I agree a lot of these of aren't logical, or bereft of information to support the 'lock' they claim.

My only problem is that I have been doing this for a while, nonetheless for recreation purpose only however, am new to therx and didnt like the comment around 1,000 posts.

BOL Boss. I see you in the head-to-head post. Enjoy your plays, GL.

Very astute post. As for straightc, no need to worry at the rate you're going, 400+ in 2+ mos, by the time you're here as long as I've been you'll have 20,000 post and will no longer be a "newbie"!

post totals??? :lolBIG: Most of you rack up post totals with your "good lucks" posts, and that apparently makes you a veteran gambler :nohead:

I agree, if one posts his daily picks for each day, and then the results of those games, it will take 16 months to become a "veteran capper" of 1000+ posts.
