I've notice the last couple of weeks that a few of the top books that use to advertise on this forum have pulled there banners. Does anybody know the reason for this.

I don't know if "pulled" is the best word.

I think their advertising contracts expired, and they decided not to renew.

Accountability; they don't like to held accountable for bad service, slow pay, ect. This is the best watchdog site on the net, even if a bit biased!!!

The few that left have all indicated they may renew before football season or possibly baseball season.

Just a case of their contract expiring and holding off awhile during this normally slow time of the season.

I think there contracts ran out and slow season as stated above. But what I really think is it is going to be nearly Impossible for a new book to come along before the busy season this year and get any respect .

The reason they are leaving is they don't get much return on their investment.

Good points here but in defense of the RX a lot of books cut back after football season every year. I wouldn't read too much into the fact a lot of the books are off the site right now as many deals are written this way.....

Agree with the others though, would love to see more accountability from the sites on who advertises.

Therx.com advertisement is a way to promote your branding not to get 100s of customers... In the slow season, only the big ones will stay

yeah no one bets on NCAA basketball... I think it's called march madness or something like that. I heard they split a bunch of teams into 4 regions and have them play some kind of winner take all contest. not very fun to watch or bet. anyway here is to the 'slow' time of year.

The ad fees are way too expensive....5 k a month is absurd..no way a book gets a ROI spending that money on a site that gets you bonus whores and scalpers. IMO its a big waste of a books money to advertise on this site.

As far as the sportsbooks are concerned this is the slow season of the year. The slow season is defined as not football. March Madness is the second best time of the year for them but it is still just a fraction of what football is.

To very loosely quote what I have been told by more than one book, some of them have a very hard time justifying paying to open themselves up to a bunch of BW movers.
