At least not anymore. Back in the good old days a few decades ago maybe.
Now?
What are we beating our chests over? Nothing really. Just the typical idiotic, clueless, uneducated nationalist attitudes deluding themselves that America is the greatest country in the world.
We are 10 times more likely to be killed by guns than any other country. Our gun related murders are over 20 times higher than other high income countries.
We have the most out of shape, obese people in the world.
One of the most racist countries in the world.
Libtards and racist republicants going at each other's throats constantly. Never really accomplishing or resolving anything.
Education wise we are way down in the list than where we should be. With how much money we have our education levels for our kids should be much better but they aren't. Nevermind our tuition rates.
Our military budget is the largest in the world. Wasting money on bases we need overseas. Cowardly invading countries on false pretense like Iraq. We got rid of Saddam before killing Osama lol. Corruption is running rampant both on the right and the left.
I can go on and on.
What makes our country the greatest? We used to be the greatest WAYYYY back. Nowadays we just beat our chests deluding ourselves. Nationalism is running rampant but no real patriots left.
Freedom? Tons of other developed countries have freedom too. So what? Even the freedom is difficult to boast about given all the security we have to go through and American citizens being harassed in Arizona and so on.
We suck up more of the world's energy than anybody, even more than China. We make cracks about we should drop a nuke in the middle east but maybe the world would be better off if somebody dropped a nuke on America. lol. I mean everywhere I look it's the same moronic arguing over race, politics. Most of them aren't civil, productive conversations. Most of them don't understand what they are arguing about.
What makes America the greatest country in the world? Nothing. Anybody that thinks it is is kidding themselves or is just another uneducated, clueless nationalist, unpatriotic loser.
We need to stop thinking in terms of 'libtards' and 'racist republicans', we need to start thinking in arguments, problems and solutions. If someone voted Trump or Obama, don't despise them for it. Ask why they did, what motivated them to do so. Work on problems together. Dare to discuss, but leave out the hate. We need to stop slinging mud at eachother and start building together. Even here in the comments people start flinging at eachother for having different opinions. Don't call names, don't blame, try to provide opposing arguments, dare to agree with your opponent when there are things you agree with. We're starting to pick our own, almost always biased sources and become more polarized than ever before. Stop picking black or white, dare to go for grey.I think for the most part most of us love the U.S.A but have difference in opinions on how to make the country better and solve it's problems. But the arguing and juvenile name calling...lol. It's comical if it weren't so sad.
