I've posted on this topic before. I used to use them but it became unacceptable. It would be like a 7game card and 3 lines would still be closed 2 hrs before the first tipoffs. Just simply unnaceptable and amateur. It's no secret they advertise all the time on TV and in crap like Maxim magazine trying to lure the idiot average joe who puts in $50 or so and bets $10 a game. With low betting limits and the slick layout, they cater to the amateur better unlike sites like www.thegreek.com. Which seems funny because with low betting limit and the such why are you so afraid to post a line? Other books dealing with much larger bettors and sharper players have no problem exposing themselves to overnight lines and hazy injury situations.

They must think they can maximize profits by offering the tightest lines available, even at the expense of clients. Sharp players won't play there, so Bodog ends up primarily with amateurs playing tight lines. I can see how they would make money doing that.

Amateurs are just casual bettors anyway and don't mind the tight lines (and in most cases probably don't even realize). Bodog is nationally known offering a user friendly site with sports betting and on-line poker. I think that's what most amateurs are basically looking for. That's what originally drew me in.

I will say they've gotten a lot better at paying out. Back in June of last year I waited over 9 weeks and had to ask Wilheim to help me get my withdraw (it arrived shortly after). You can imagine my shock when I requested a withdraw last Tuesday and received the check in 5 days! I'm now in the process of opening a 5 dimes account and only plan on using Bodog for underdog bets (since they almost always give the most points) and on-line poker.

that's my $0.02 (<)<
