Mcnabb = 2nd tier QB (behind peyton, brees, and brady)
Romo = something lower than 2nd tier for sure

McNabb has been there and done that. Romo claim to fame was a dumb blond girlfriend with big tits, what has he done?

Most NFL purists would say the question is offensive.

I really don't know why you asked....should have said Romo, Stafford, or Sanchez....

How many playoff games has Romo won?

I'm not even a Romo fan but, seriously, you guys are just complete haters. Romo is not a top 5 QB, but the above statements may be some of the most ignorant I've ever read (one of which written by an "NFL purist"...:missingte). Comparing him to Stafford or Sanchez? and calling him lower than second tier? Get a grip guys. Romo is like 32-18 as a starter and has the 3rd best QB rating EVER. Of course stats don't mean anything right? Bullsh1t. Don't see anyone criticizing Brees, whose has never won anything either but puts up great stats.

Not liking him is one thing but saying Romo sucks...ridiculous.

Agreed, Romo has never won a playoff game. He's only played in two. How many has Brees, everyone's darling of the minute won? ONE, in like NINE years. Woo-Hoo, put him in the Hall of Fame. Romo IS good, and could someday be great. If Romo played for a different team he would he would have a lot less haters. People need to realize he's only played three years (2006 half, 2007, 2008, 2009 half), not seven, eight or nine like the guys you are trying to compare him too.

Romo has two playoff losses that he actually played pretty well in (besides dropping an extra point snap obviously or we wouldn't even be having this discussion). Other big games he has definitely underachieved but the Cowboys biggest problem in the last couple years in December has been their defense.

Maybe this is the year Romo gets his ball security issues under control and the Cowboys finally break through in the playoffs. As of now he's tied for 4th least INT in the league (same as Manning, Brady and less than Big Ben, Brees) with only 4 INT and just had the first three game stretch of his career without a pick (surprise, all wins). He has 12 TDs which puts him in the Top 10, 4 off the league lead.

The Cowboys in general have had unrealistic expectations for the last several years but that is not Romo's fault. Don't forget Peyton Manning got the same bad rap because he lost his first 3 straight playoff games before finally winning his first playoff game in his SIXTH season. Bottom Line, Romo has to win to get respect where Drew Brees can just go on putting up his stats, win nothing, and be called great. This will likely be the year Romo does win a playoff game and then the haters will have to find someone else to spout off about.

I never said he sucked, just that he's not on the second tier of NFL QBs... He's only played *4* years - placing him alongside guys who have 10 years of experience and played well for that time is ridiculous. Also, the question was where does he rank compared to Donovan McNabb - who not only has performed at a similiar level over a longer period of time, but has great numbers still in his tenth NFL season (in 2 less games than Romo this year, McNabb has 9 TDs and 1 INT, and a higher QB rating).

Again, not saying Romo is a scrub - very very good QB - but he can't be compared to these other guys be it in terms of his career OR as far as this season goes.
