KC Jones plays golf at the same place I do and Ive had a number of talks with him. He is a genuinely nice person, even invited me to join him one day but I had to go home to the family.

Years ago I was in Dallas with some friends. Somehow we end up at a bar thats owned by Drew Pearson. We had asked him for his autograph and he came and sat down with us for about a half hour and just told us one story after another. It was a fun afternoon

Both William Jefferson & Hillary Rodham Clinton. I'll never forget that day. I've met numerous athletes, hollywood actors and even go to church with a recent NFL HOF inductee.

But nothing tops meeting the Clintons.

I played 9 holes with Bob Hope in 1990 . Just he and I for 3 hours on the course I was the Asst Pro at. What an increidble man..

Hit range balls and chatted with Joe Biden last summer for about 20 minutes . Again just he and I on the range .. And maybe 4 guns pointed at me from the woods... Was up in Philly hangin with a buddy and playing golf at one of his courses. Biden was there with his brother in law. Nice guy.. Would be someone I'd like to play a few rounds with.

Very cool.

Clint Eastwood

I met him at the Global Gaming Expo trade show/convention in Vegas in 2004. He was there to release his new slot machine, "Fistful of Dollars".

I was an unauthorized gawker who stumbled thru a curtain and backstage while he was finishing his speech, and I shook his hand, all the while video taping the encounter on my Palm Pilot. If you pause it just right, you can see his sinister Dirty Harry stare at me while he wonders whether to pull out his Magnum or just shake my hand. Glad he decided to just shake my hand. "Nice to meetcha, Mr. Eastwood", I said.

I was (and still am) in awe...

Joe DiMaggio very private person), Gene Hackman(just a great, great guy, large tipper), James Caan very self conscious about his height, or lack thereof. The lifts on his shoes sorta made me laugh.

Most of the famous people Ive met were years ago so probably not as famous now to most...

Bobby Orr...Played in a charity golf tourney years ago where Orr and Carl Yazstremski were there as guests and went around and played 1 hole with each group. Our group got to play wih Orr.

Dave Gavitt...From the same hometown and my stepdad knew him and introduced me to him at a Providence basketball game years ago.

Billy Gardner...another that my stepdad knew. I was about 12 years old and we went to a Red Sox game when he was a coach. We(my brother and I) went right down to the dugout before the game and met him. He gave us both an autograhed baseball.

Rob Funk. Saw him at the mall he was getting a "Rob Funk" hat made at some Kiosk.

Could not believe it was really him. Look for his book "Decoded" in November which details much of his rhyme writing.
