gonna post this every few days............ teams performance last 5 games vs. full season.... and the whole idea is to perhaps find good ATS teams, NOT finding good SU teams so these hot teams might not win a ton of games.... i wish it were 3 games but of course i am using a service for the basic power ratings numbers (teamrankings.com)

top 10:

1Charlotte (15-25)
2Denver (18-20)
3Philadelphia (7-31)
4Orlando (15-27)
5Minnesota (6-31)
6Miami (17-22)
7Detroit (14-25)
8Atlanta (31-8)
9Utah (13-26)
10Boston (13-24)

Denver, Charlotte and Orlando definitely may have crept up on people..

bottom 10:

21LA Clippers (26-13)
22San Antonio (24-16)
23Portland (30-9)
24Brooklyn (16-23)
25New York (5-36)
26Cleveland (20-20)
27Okla City (18-20)
28Dallas (27-13)
29Toronto (26-12)
30Chicago (26-14)

almost all good teams..... brooklyn might have snuck up on people badly, dallas too.... knicks are a complete mess... chicago surprises me too.... toronto well documented. DD back now too. big litmus test game tonight hosting atlanta hawks.

sorry for the formatting.... will look into improving it for next time.

minnesota and utah also upward creepers that may not have been noticed...

will also work these into picks..... but will have to do it before the games as they won't be 100% objective statistical picks.

very interesting........... seems like almost every line moves in the direction of this type of analysis.

i also wonder if it'll often be poor teams that are most improved L5 and good teams most deteriorated..... hard for GSW for instance to be most improved. and you would think hard for NYK to be most deteriorated (but of course it's possible with NYK)

ok, so i'm going to go boston, denver, minnesota tonight.. probably grade both open and closing lines....

a few more i would have done but lines have moved a ton........

every bigger line movement is consistent with this analysis.............. gonna update this every day for awhile (eventually all my threads die for one reason or another)

wow, big bounces on chicago and brooklyn tonight...

boston was a L..... minnesota looking good. denver not so good but a cover is still a decent possibility

1-1-1 last night.......

eyeballing the rankings today.... hot (very whole season): alt, cha, hou, miami, denver, milwaukee... not: NYK, dallas (alot of teams bounced off the bottom of recent play... brooklyn, chicago etc.)

nothing really catches my eye tonight unfort...

haven't made picks and tracked them... BUT my general advice and the system has been a loser so far...

gonna just eyeball teams today.. .will eye ball a couple of times a week, and do the actual spreadsheet a couple of times a week

teams up high that caught my eye: charlotte, miami, washington... memphis somewhat but they've consistently been good so doesn't make complete sense

teams down low: indiana, denver, boston, utah... denver and utah were high a week ago, so things change fast.
