Gonna be in Florida the first week of March....going to try to catch a couple of games. Probably check out the Yankees in Tampa and the Tigers or Indians the next day. Never been before but I hear good things about Tampas stadium. Hope the weather is good.

Moving into a house three blocks from the Giants training park next week. The Cubs open up their schedule there in two weeks and I'll be tailgaiting and then walking to the game. March is the best month of the year in AZ!

I have a friend who replied to my e-mail inviting all to super bowl party and he invited me to come to Az. as he says he can walk to the games also.

If you'd like to hook up with him get my e-mail.

He is cool a real sports nut that does not gamble so he really has to have a deep passion huh.

Go to Vero Beach to see the Dodgers and Winter Haven to see the Indians. This is the last year for both before they move to Arizona. These are old school, step-back-in-time experiences. Worth it.

Right across the Bay in Clearwater is the Phillies ballpark (they go by "Clearwater Threshers") and it's new and a pretty sweet setup.

About six, seven miles north of that in Dunedin is the Blue Jays yard which is pretty average.

Both are within ten minutes of the beaches on the Gulf of Mexico.

Chase me down in the NHL room (easier for me to see posts there) if you've got time to get over here and we'll set up a good day or evening out. Day baseball is better imho...but it's all good.

I'll probably end up catching a few Phillies games and Braves games this year during the spring. Though there's nothing like playoff hockey, there's something about Spring Training baseball that's just special. Absolutely 100% the best part about living in Central Florida.

I travel throughout FL as part of my job and I'm in the process of laying out my March schedule--the Tampa Tribune published the team by team Grapefruit League schedule. The Tigers stadium in Lakeland is not the closest to where I live, but it certainly the easiest to get to. I enjoy a Saturday afternoon over that way when I can.

Az and Fla can never touch what Angels in Palm Springs was. Right in the middle of spring break, nothing like it.
