Miami of Florida is 4-7 SU the last two years on the road and 0-2 SU in neutral site games. Boone, North Carolina is going to feel like another planet for the Hurricanes on Saturday. Appalachian State does not lose often at home going 5-1 last year and this is the type of game the Mountaineers can win with a very crafty QB in Taylor lamb and nine defensive starters back from the #1 rushing defense in the country last year. Plus it just looks too cheap that Miami of Florida is only a field goal and change favorite. Remember the Canes end last year losing to lowly Washington State in the Sun Bowl! El Paso was another unique atmosphere for Miami and this reminds me of that. Remember Appalachian State could have easily beat Tennessee in week #1 losing in overtime. Miami has played nobody cruising past Florida AM and Florida Atlantic. This is a signature game for The Mountaineers as they FINALLY get a power-five team to come to their house. Appalachian State has always had to travel in the past when they played a power-five team. They will be ready. I’ll call for the upset. "We're very excited this week to host Miami, for obvious reasons," Mountaineers coach Scott Satterfield said. "It's the biggest opponent that we've ever had come to our campus to play a football game. In particular, what they're bringing in here is the tradition of a school that's won national championships, that's won Heisman Trophies, all the accolades that they've won over the years.
