I was watching it with a few Hillary supporters, who are mad at me, that I'm not voting for her. We all thought, to varying degrees, that Drumpf wiped the floor with her. I was the strongest in that regard. I am very happy that, so far, America seems to disagree with me. If this website, and it's pro Drumpf Bias thinks it was a "tie", or even that Hillary won, that's really, really, really bad news for Drumpf. :):)
I thought Lester Ball-less Holt let Drumpf walk all over him, as he did Hillary for the most part. It's a hopeful sign that America disagrees, and the immediate reaction in the betting markets disagree.

Trust your instincts. What is this America disagrees with you, Don't erect a cathedral around about 14 members of the
chattering class of pundits from CNN. MSNBC, CNBC & even Fox obvious leftwingers pronouncing a Clinton win.

CNN the Clinton News Network had a poll favoring Clinton 62 to 27
That was countered by the right wing sight Drudge which had Trump the winner 80% to 20% 158,000 votes

How about some more even handed outlets even though I always thought they were left leaning

Time Magazine: Trump 59% Clinton 41% 822,000 votes
CSNBC: Trump Trump 60% Clinton 40% 395,000 votes

Over 1,000,000 interested parties think Trump won while 14-20 leftwing cable news pundits
feel otherwise.

Hopefully it's a REAL Moderator next time, who does his or her job, doesn't let one candidate continually talk over, and interrupt, and actually fact checks proven lies. Not a Ball Less Registered Republican like Poor Lester.

That Holt guy was 100% wrong on fact checking! Reasonable people watching and acting reasonable would conclude
Trump was more effective in debate #1. It wasn't a knockout like I expected but to me it was Trump something like
116-112 in a 12 rounder!

Thanks Lester. You did what I asked you to do. Be a doormat. In spite of you, many think I lost this debate. #sad.

Didn't watch any of it, but I would say the bar for Hillary was so low coming in, it would be almost impossible for her to have a bad debate. Just don't faint, have a seizure, or drool all over herself and she held her own.

I don't think it's the moderator's job to fact check what a candidate says during a debate.

How Trump won over a bar full of undecideds and Democrats

“I’ve been a Democrat all of my life, but when Clinton mentions her husband and the jobs he brought to the country in the nineties it’s not a fair assessment, she is no moderate Democrat the way he was, her policies would not bring back jobs,” said Nathan Nemick.
It burns Nemick when Clinton references her husband, like she did in the debate on trade and jobs, “She is nothing like him,” he said of the Democrat he admired in his youth.

===
Her saying "my husband created a lot of jobs" reminds us of how accomplished she is.

Trump looked like a dominate leader. He isnt as polished as Hillary with the political talking points. I think everyone knows that. Everyone forgets the reason Trump is where he is at is because the anti-establishment vote.

Its funny to hear people bash the government but then an outsider runs that has no experience in politics and those same people bitch about him not looking political.....or being able to sound like a politician. Thats not why Trump is where he is at.

Either the American people will vote for an outsider to hopefully change our direction or they will vote to keep the same crooked policies in order.

As for who won.......remember Romney wiped the floor with Obama on their first debate also.

It's hysterical to watch trump minnions vote in these polls 100 times.......the debate wasn't close. Trump was beaten soundly. It was ugly for him. Any sane person can see that.

It is hysterical you think you're a) some astute political person and b) objective

You can't even spell 'minions' correctly and have the critical thinking abilities of a turnip.

Carry on with your stupid "haha LMAO beatdown" analysis. It reminds everyone of your IQ.

"Hillary Clinton’s weapon of choice in her first debate with Donald Trump was a needle.

Almost from the outset of the 95-minute debate, the Democratic nominee, who is known for having a debate-stage persona as a policy wonk, took after her opponent with digs aimed at piercing his famously thin skin."

Hillary kept leading him down the rabbit hole, and Trump kept obliging by following her. She also seemed very content to let Trump interrupt and bicker and make shit up and play on her turf and look like a grumpy old man. But good old Newt Gingrich managed to put a happy face on the proceedings.

Probably didn't change any minds, i'd say she definitely helped herself with any undecided among suburban women and millennials, and if Trump had the momentum coming into the debate, he lost it coming out.
