Always have went D, but it is unimaginable how union workers cannot back Trump. I am sure the leaders of the unions will back Hillary because of the kickbacks.

My wifes uncle lives in Michigan and he was down visiting last week. He said he hasnt seen this much R support among his coworkers (hvac business) for president in 30 years. He said out of his local probably 95% are backing Trump.

So that brings up the question....

Does the union vote even matter anymore?

It matters, in a state like OH, a narrow margin swing state

Private sector unions? Probably Trump.

Public sector I doubt changes too much.

Private sector unions only about 6% of the private workforce nowadays fwiw. But it could be emblematic of a larger issue and constituency, working/middle class voters in rust belt areas voting for Trump.

The union workers at Trump Hotel in Las Vegas will not be voting for him. Been paying a lot of settlements this year for union busting. At one time they were asking for the same contract Trump Hotel workers in Toronto got. I thought that was pretty ingenious, surprised the national media didn't pick up on it
