Anyone really think that Cleveland and LA aren't going to be the
two teams in the finals?

I actually agree with you, but can't bring myself to vote for them.
I'll have to root for Cleveland to upset them. Lakers' bench
is scary.

I think Cleveland will bring a surprising amount of toughness and defensive intensity... Also home court could well be a factor.

Earlier in the year I thought it would be the Lakers, but with home-court now & the Cavs being almost unbeatable in Cleveland this year, you have to give the edge to them.....

Just can't see anything but LA versus Cleveland barring an injury with LA being a -150 fav

I don't think its a slam dunk the Lakers make the finals. Besides Kobe I don't see any real clutch players on that team. Wait until this team hits some adversity, more likely they'll fold then rise up imo.

Cavs are the top favs. Hawks will probably be their biggest test all playoffs.

I can see Houston or Denver winning the West.

Lakers, easily.

Nobody else has the personnel to both guard Kobe and matchup with the Gasol/Bynum combo. Celtics could if healthy, but without KG they're toast.

Gasol is very skilled but soft, Odom is a great all around athlete but a goat and Bynum is huge with decent talent - together they are a monstrous front court - combined with a terrific bench - and the league's best scorer and most clutch player - they are a layup in a seven game series.

Man for man I think Cleveland has tougher, mentally stronger players except for Kobe. But his greatness will be canceled out by Lebron. I don't see any edge for the Lakers in a potential final series. And without home court it will be awfully difficult for the Lakers, no way they should be favored.

Expect to see the Cavs and Lakers in the final. All the other teams are pretenders. At that point, believe it will come down to coaching and adjustments within the series. I'll give a nod to Jackson over Brown in that category. Of course, all of this is speculation and highly dependent on injuries that could easily change the direction of the playoffs.

vs.

Gasol
Bynum

Lakers already won in Cleveland this year. They're the better team. Gimme plus money on the Lakers in that series and I'll take it all the way to the ticket window.

the nba doesnt need lebron kobe. if houston makes the finals the viewership globally will be higher then the super bowl. you go to these other countries in europe and they broadcast a "game of the week" where everyone meets up, and due to the diversity of the league many countries have players they follow.

so no the nba doesnt need lebron and kobe.

also your comment about the cavs just shows you know nothing about basketball or just don't follow it.

the only people who care about a lebron vs. kobe final are americans. the league though would probably have even more viewership though with a houston-orlando final.

wrong by a large margin

the Nba by and large is already a global sport, and yes Yao will draw a large # from China, but Orlando?

but so would Kobe vs Lebron, maybe not quite as big, but regardless its a final with the two most marketable global stars...

not just marketable in the US

but regardless who do you think the network wants, really?

get a clue

marketing $$ to americans pays probably 4-1 vs China

you like to hear yourself talk

Well this definately has to be true, because people from China can't be fans of Kobe or Lebron.... that would be impossible! Furthermore, there probably isnt a single Canadian watching or caring about this years playoffs due to the absence of Steve Nash
