I don't think Murray is a good bet at all at +400. In his own Bracket he will likely have to beat del Potro to get into the Semis. Then once in the Semis he will either have to face Nadal, Gonzalez, or Tsonga. Then he will have to beat Federer, Djokovic, or Roddick in finals. If he was 12/1 or so I would say take a shot. But at 4/1 its not even worth it. The US Open is obviously in New York. He had overwhelming support at Wimbledon. He wont get that kind of support here. I personally dont see him making it to the semis.

Personally, think you have to hedge, regardless of the juice. Roger looked great today and he is just nails at FM.

Before the US Open started I put $500 on del Potro at 15/1. The price I am getting for Federer is -340. I am putting $3400 on Federer to win $1000. So if Fed wins I win $500, but if del Potro wins I win $4100.

Only difference imo is that Fed, struggles on Clay when compared to HCs.

Personally, I would put another 1700 on Roger, gives you $1000 win on Fed, removing the original $500 you laid and if Del P wins, you get $2400.

When Hedging, I usually, like to get close to 50/50.

Im rolling with del Potro. I really feel he has a shot, but I could be dead wrong. Hey if I only win $500 I can't be mad and wont be mad. I'll take $500 any day of the week. Im just glad I manned up prior to the Open and placed the del Potro bet. Everyone had Nadal or Murray coming out of del Potro's side of the bracket.
