I believe last year Madcapper was the best here and I don't know if he will be posting. There were very few handicappers that came out ahead last year. Baseball, IMO is the toughest sport to handicap. Guys will have there streaks, but most of them play too many games to come out ahead. Everyone will be gung-ho in a couple of weeks, but by July, people will be sniping at one another and laying out 300-unit games to get even. My advice is to wait until football.

Baseball is a sport you should not piggyback on imo. People have very different thoughts on what value is in regards to baseball & with the varying prices, these differences can be big. I would either cap it yourself or just wait for another sport.

you dont realize how much value you will lose following someone,,,, it would amass a small FORTUNE in Losses if you follow their plays only an hour or so after they play them,,,, you will be hard pressed to break even,,,

Play for fun,,, or dont play,,,,,
there are some cool formulas out there that have the potential to keep your head above water,,,, my advice,,, go to the different SITES and ask for different formulas,,,,,

good luck,,,

SmallCap, I have been following MadCapper and Alan Palmer....and making money. MadCapper was the man last year...and is hitting 60% now. Good luck in any decision you have!

Here is what these teams did last year when they were playing as underdogs...

<pre class="ip-ubbcode-code-pre">
Boston 20 - 16
Yankees 8 - 12
Seattle 17 - 18
Atlanta 23 - 16
Cubs 23 - 30
San Francisco 22 - 27

Total 113 - 119
</pre>

This is only 48.7% .... Doesnt seem good but getting all the +++ value you would get a lot of units.

I'm fading the Yanks this season for the most part. With the acquisition of A-Rod and their modest success in the playoffs the public will be on them this year. That will cause the line to be skewed against them.

Look at how other public teams have done against the spread and you will see that they have done poorly including last year's Yankees.

Enjoy bases. Go easy in April. Play more dogs than favs. Learn to look beyond today and see the bigger picture when making dog plays. Don't cap just the starting pitcher. Don't play against streaks. Never get in a frenzy to win back lost money. Never bet a huge fav when you are in a bad streak [actually never bet a huge fav] "because this has to hit." It might not and your hole may then be too deep to climb out of. Remember there are too many games and the summer is long.

Set your goal to finish ahead at the end of the season. Any modest season long profit is a success IMO. Do your own capping. That is where the enjoyment is. Enjoy the season and good luck to all bases players here.

Thanks giorg0s. You are correct. The Yanks were -3.0 units ATS last year. However, they were something like -15.4 at home.

The Cubs, another public team, were -18.5 at home but were up on the road. My favorite team to bet against, the Detroit Tigers, were -20.6 at home and -24.2 on the road.

As far as my comment about betting against the spread in baseball, I guess my mind is still on basketball.

Have to agree with EDG, as even if you had Kosher or Poker or best pro capper MLB plays, the line moves & the streaky nature that any MLB capper(even good ones) has in making his money, along with the season's duration and size, make following any one source as a whole..a big waste.

could have swore I made more units than any capper on the rx last year. At least that is what my wallet and my posts said.

good luck to all and PLAY BALL
