Allen Ross of Island Casino recognized me as a casino player way back when he got involved with Island Casino (approx 1997). He was helping develop software for online blackjack and offered myself and a handful of others $300-$500 (one of those amounts I cant remember which) to play with and keep any winnings over a weekend. He called me after that weekend and was legit interested in my opinion. He even commented on the single deck game which was a true single deck that did not shuffle after every deal. He said something to the effect that card counting would be super easy and they would have to change it

In any case, I witnessed the development of software that would morph many many times. It was no Christmas gift, but it still stood out to me as an owner operator reaching out to a good customer with a legit credit of $300 (or $500) to help him out with hands on opinions

I made a small fortune off of that site's blackjack game, as with early surrender, it was +EV. And the
Software told you when it was shuffling so you
Could count cards. They delayed payment to analyze my logs to ensure I wasn't using a bot... but they eventually paid in full. Those were the days.
