Open parlays very occasionally as I'm not much of a parlay guy. Much moreso open teasers.

I'll do an open par if I like a big favorite and want to par it with something so I'm not laying as much and there's no more games on the board.

Other than that, doesn't really seem worth it.

Are you saying big favorite as in moneyline?

Yea, say if you like kershaw -300 but don't like laying that much, but want to par it with something else but it's the last game of the night and no other games are on the board...

Take Kershaw -300/open

so that when lines come up, you can close your parlay with whatever else. Either that day or later on...Not sure what the rules are on how long you can keep the parlay opened for...

Another reason would be if you think you will get a better line on a game and want to wait...

Hope this helps

I don't play big moneyline favs that often but its an interesting idea. Something else to add to my toolbox of ideas.

Yes play them all the time. As other poster said I'll put Kershaw in -300 then wait until he either pitches again, until Arrieta goes, until another good matchup comes along...I think they are even better in college football and college hoops....
