Ohio State for sure. Who else?... Boise? A one-loss Alabama if they lose big against Florida? USC?

I'm assuming both Utah and Boise State will get BCS bids.

Projected BCS teams:

1. Big East Winner - auto bid
2. ACC Winner - auto bid
3. Penn State - auto bid
4. Oregon State - auto bid (if they beat Oregon)
5. Utah - lock/auto bid
6. Boise - lock/auto bid?
7. OU - lock with 1 loss or auto bid
8. Texas - lock with 1 loss or auto bid
9. USC - lock with 1 loss?
10. Florida - auto bid (if they beat Bama)
11. Alabama - lock with 1 loss?

That's already 11 teams right there, so that means even 1 of those teams won't make it. So who else gets screwed here?... Boise? A bad, one-loss Alabama if they get crushed against Florida? USC?

I think that Ohio state should be in this list of 12

if oregon st loses, Boise gets left out....if oregon st wins, boise and Ohio state get left out....

not too hard.....regardless of outcome on florida/bama game, they both get in.

too early to count out texas tech....but you are correct that only 2 big 12 can get in .

Either UTAH or BOISE. Pick one.

I'm penciling Utah in as a lock. I'm thinking it might be Boise too as long as Alabama doesn't lose by 21+ vs. Florida. If Alabama pulls a Texas Tech, they could drop all the way out. The computers don't really like Alabama on the whole.

I said in the first post that Ohio State would be out for sure if the thread title scenario happens.

How is Boise out if Oregon State loses? If Oregon State loses against Oregon, that would help Boise's chances obviously.

Ohio St is far superior to Boise St, and should without a doubt get a bid over them. I'm not sure where Boise is currently ranked though so they might get an auto bid. Utah is in for sure, no way they slip past 8.

Oregon St will most likely lose a game though, if not both.

Will you PLEASE STOP saying Oregon State might lose a game, "if not both" when they ONLY HAVE 1 GAME LEFT!!! Please learn what you're talking about before confusing other posters.

A USC/Texas Tech Holiday Bowl would be a great game. Leave USC's spoiled asses out of the party for wasting another season and for Bozo's crying about the system. Id love to see Leach stick it to Bozo. Talk about a coaching mismatch

That would be a great game, but there's no way USC won't get a BCS bid even if Oregon State gets the rose.

In fact, USC would get an auto bid if they finish in the top 4 of the final BCS standings.

Can a non-USC fan please tell me why USC is ranked ahead of Penn State or Utah without using the argument that they would be favored over those teams???

Why are you quoting my last post which has nothing to do with your other thread lol? Nor did I use the argument that 'SC would be favored over other top BCS teams. I was merely stating the BCS bid rules and 'SC could get an auto bid anyway.

That being said, of all years, if the Pac-10 gets 2 BCS bids this year it'll be an absolute joke, but hey, you can blame the BCS rules for that. Just ask the Big-10, they usually get 2 BCS bids each year when they barely deserve one. Whatsmore, the Pac-10 has been screwed out of plenty BCS bids in the past... see Oregon (twice), Cal (once), and 'SC (once) where they should've played for the title.

USC has been a favorite every game for 5+ straight years now. Amazing they lose at all.

I always like the Meineke Car Care Bowl; at least they didn't pretend to be some "game of the decade" match-up.

HAHA i love when you call him bozo, really funny. coaching mismatch? leach can barely put a sentence together. usc would beat penn st/utah by 21+ because both offenses would struggle against usc's defense. usc's offense would be slow outta the gates, but would find a way to pour on the points and blow em out. LOL i love ur anti-usc posts whormoan. usc has a bye and u still throw them under the bus!

usc defense has fallen off as the year has gone along, teams have been putting points on them early. id like to see usc play one of the big 12 south, pref ok or tech.

You confuse me. News flash: Alabama is number one in the BCS. Explain how the computers do not like them

No problem, my pleasure. It's very simple really, a dead give away in the numbers fact. Remember, I'm talking about just the computer portion here, not the Harris or Coaches polls.

Computer numbers:

Alabama - 0.970 out of 1.000
Texas - 0.960 out of 1.000
Oklahoma - 0.900 out of 1.000
Florida - 0.780 out of 1.000
USC - 0.710 out of 1.000

So the ONLY undefeated BCS team (from the SEC no less) is ONLY 0.010 ahead of a one-less Texas? Wow. Any undefeated BCS team should be AT LEAST 0.150 ahead of ANY one-loss team in the computers, but that's not what's happening here. That means if Alabama loses a game, the computers will drop them to 8 or below. Look at one-loss Florida for example who's played about the same SOS as Alabama. Florida's computer score is 0.780. And one-loss Florida is 0.180 behind one-loss Texas in the computers. That's not very good since they both have one loss and thus this shows the clear discrepancy between the SEC and Big 12 and just how much the computers dislike the SEC this year.

i think texas tech gets the biggest shaft of all...

TT is weak. Should have never beaten Texas. Caught them on the tail-end of a four-game streak. TT at 5-0 and #8 team in the country was once heralded as the "most overrated team in the country" then magically beat down Kansas?!? and brainwashed the media into thinking they were a top 5 team.

Once a system, always a system.
