holes that i think may play pivotal. There are only 2 par 5's and one of them is about 620 yds, going to need to great shots to hit that green in 2

par 5 8 th 557 yds

the winner of this tournament gotta be under par on this hole for the week. Reachable for most the field. Favors a draw off the tee , ideal for those with that ball flight. 2nd shot to all elevated green

par 4 5th 302 yds

uphill, drivable for big hitters, heck f or some it maybe only be a 3-wood , birdie hole.

17th par 4 375 yds

bombers go here , imo. Advantage length. Gentle dog-leg to the left, ideal for those that can hit a high draw (Rory all day here), or take it right over the trees (DeChambeau ). its' only 340 to the front if u cut the corner. If the rough aint too bad , i cant imagine any of the bombers not going all 4 days . Not sure what they have been doing during practice rounds, no info

(10th is brutal . 6th has a larger green but severe undulations, pin placements will be interseting . tough par 3)

good stuff guys

the most startling theink for me regarding the course is the size of these greens (many undulations as well) get a better view from the below 2 vids (low hadicapper playing it from the tips ).

US Open slimmed fairways and rough-you get in that rough ? approach shots from the rough going to hard to hold those fast small greens

C Smith said yesterday its a 'second shot course'. Feels the approach game is empasized here, again small greens, many nasty undulations. Gotts be sharp with the iron game. But gotta believe equally important is hitting the fairway. wedge from the rough 120yds Vs from fairway from 155yds ? , think the latter is better given the greens

so like ;

strong iron games, guys that hit the fairway, and in form . here r the 2 vids , look at some of these greens;
Course comp to me is pga Championship few weeks ago. Same architectural features with greens etc. Think Gil renovation here as well. Believe I’ll lean towards the guys who handled that course well and in good form also.Just doesn’t seem to be the typical bomb away long US open style

Im is a sneaky play. Believe he is more suited for bird fest. He is a pin hunter.

Poor Russ Henley just can’t close. Guy could have 7 shot lead into Sunday and not win. He choked this year twice with victory in hand. And killed me last year at Wyndham on Sunday with that lead. Be nice to see him win a big one though

Phil headed home, blows up at Brookline

dude is getting roasted on social media;

'If you have action on Phil Mickelson finishing in the top 150, you're probably sweating this one out'

'Phil Mickelson at +11 is ahead of 2 out of 15 amateurs in the field at the US Open'

'Looking at the state of Mickelson’s game you can’t blame him for taking the money'

'Did anyone tell Mickelson there is actually a cut in this tournament?'

the last 9 majors all won by elite players, and lookin' like its going to be 10. The guys at the top of the totem pole are seperating.

star-studded leaderboard , should be a great weekend

is there any type of layout that Scottie doesnt suit? he's going for the trifecta; US Jr Championship , US Amateur and ...The US Open

Guy won a major at 50 11 months ago. Hasn’t teed up over here in ages. Not even playing golf for few months. People just want attention tweeting shit to get a like to boost their esteem.

Didn’t j Rose finish basically dead last last us open at like +16

Hope Phil enjoys all that Saudi money. PGA been more relevant past two months and talked about because of Saudi tour. Maybe Tiger can keep cycling them roids and pop some pills and booze to get back on the course and pga can have something else to talk about

Social media is trash. Littered with bots. Phil should go face deep in a bag of blow with DJ and some hookers and make it rain Saudi dollars

Phil, Tiger r done. Tiger physically done. Phil is over 50, kaput

But American golf is stronger. The roles have turned in the Ryder Cup. USA may dominant for the next 10 yrs. The Euros need young blood

in his last 44 tournaments he has 1 win , 19 missed cuts . 3 top 10's

no one eludes father time. Cameo appearances r cool. . He's no dummy, take the money and run

he'd dominate the Senior tour!!

Phil is a bigger presence than just being competitive in golf tournaments. Pretty much what I meant.

great list there. For me, one doesnt stand out. Zalatoris, Fitzpatrick havent even won a PGA Tour event let alone a major.

can't figure out Cantlay. lay an egg at The Pga, lay an egg at The USA Open. It seems he cant compete with the 'B' game.

holy shit crazy action today. Rahm at 18?
Rory tee-to-green was so off, wtf !? putter saved him from blowing up

Fitzpatrick says he's comfortable on this course. But, he's in the final pairing at a major. He didnt handle a final pairing a few weeks ago if my memory is right. Zalatoris gotta feel he can work on The PGA Championship's experience, final pairing with Mito. I would be surprised if he blows up .

what a fuckin leaderboard. Two solid names in that final pairing and some serious elite names going to try to hunt them down

Rahm looks damn good

Zalatoris a slight favorite in most shops going into tommorrow...

Zalatoris hasn't won yet , but dude just keeps putting himself on these major leaderboards... I'd give him the nod for best player without a major..

Cantlay and Schauflee are getting the overrated tag from me as far as competing in these events. I think they both eventually get one .....

Why do you say that? I like Bradley and if not for the very nervous start, he would have been a factor. Played -2 over last 15 holes after the shaky start.
