Hey Fish, how's that again? You love "feta", but you like being "packed" better? Odd.

Angelle:

Have you tried Mona's Cafe in New Orleans? That place rocks. It's a franchise now, they got one in the Quarters on Frenchman, another one on Magazine on the way to Uptown, right before Napoleon Av. They got many more, try them out.

I love mediterranean food. Lots of garlic please.

I gotta tell you some, paisa. In the US, the Greek chicks are hairy...

Far from the bronzed, warm firmness they have in Europe. Or maybe I just haven't been too lucky.

Pappas is still here and will be here when I'm long gone.

Some great places now although a couple of the hip po-mo Mediterranean places could use a menu overall or a kick in the azz. My favs are Mezes, Avli, Pan, Pappas and Mr or Friendly Greek when it's 3am and you need food.

Taste of the Danforth is always great in August. (but since I live in the area why pay more for less food while fighting the million+ crowd?)

In the summer, this is a great place to be. The women are lovely and have taken the trouble to get rid of the 5 oclock shadow.

When they go strolling by in their tight skirts, they need my feta cheese in their village salad.

LogansRun.. Mezes is probably my favorite down there, have taken friends there often then over to Demetri's for coffee and dessert.

General, a nice quick meal is cook 1 lb pasta, blanche 1 lb cut up rapini, saute up some garlic, chili flakes, add 6 anchovy fillets, mash and cook at med-low until almost brown, add pasta and rapini....and feta cheese. Toss.

HTRC, Mezes is probably my favourite on the Danforth. The food is always good there.
