Dusty Baker

Puked the post season for not one but two teams that would have moved on with any other person at the helm . These were fine examples of his worthless ability to mg any pitching staff.

any and all of his success ( I don't care how many mgr of the year awards this dope got) can be attributed to the roid era and his total acceptance (still getting a free pass by all on that)

brought to Chicago to babysit horse's ass Sosa and couldn't even get that right

never could control (any) his teams clubhouse (that changed the instant he was launched)

his teams have horrible fundamentals year after year

brutal in game mgr and even worse in the post game interviews

tried to kill his own kid during a baseball game

went on to do some of the lamest broadcasting of baseball ever heard

Gene Mauch, the 1964 Philadelphia Phillies' manager.

Baseball's Most Memorable Collapse!

The 1964 Philadelphia Phillies were leading the National League on September 20th, 6 1/2 games ahead of the second place St. Louis Cardinals. However, the club proceeded to lose ten straight games and saw the pennant slip from their grasp. They ultimately finished a game behind the Cards.

During the losing streak, Mauch panicked. He ignored half of the pitching staff and pitched Bunning and Short every other day. It didn’t work. As good as they were, Bunning and Short couldn’t do it alone. Their arms were spent. The clutch hitting disappeared. The bullpen failed. They lost late inning leads in several games. The infamous Philly boo-birds turned on the team. The normally red-faced, screaming Mauch became withdrawn and sullen.

I'm going to hunt you down and hurt you for bringing this up...Mauch also killed Donnie Moore....Joe Kuharich was a pretty bad NFL head coach...:drink:

Larry Smith. He is the only coach ever who elected to kick the PAT down 2 points in the 4th Q. Down 21-19 as the coach of USC (+7.5 vs Notre Dame) he kicked the PAT to still trail 21-20. Of course they lost 28-20. Later in his career he coached at Mizzou and the team rebelled against him........OK,OK, nobody touches Kotite!
