but wait. Dirk was the 'leader' of the team that won 67 games and lost to the 8th seed (1st time EVER, that's happend in a 7 game series). not just that they lost. but how they lost. Dirk running away from the ball lmao. avery johnson BEGGING him to do something. and when he got to the big show (FINALS) he gags again. if i were a mavs fan id be hatin too. :drink:

how did this turn into a dirk vs tmac thread...

it is laughable tmac fans talking trash about dirk, twist it any way you want, bottom line look at the career numbers when it comes to the playoffs (won't be as many games to judge tracy on, hmmm)... anyway, good luck in the first round boys

T-Mac is so money, especially when he gets to the playoffs. Oh wait, you mean to tell me that your team MVP is a playoff choke artist. At least Dirk can say he has won a series, shit he has won at least 7 playoff series in his career. Lets see how excited you get when they are swept in first round

Man, those nice big playoff series rings you get for winning one are nice huh. I've heard Barkley say many times he doesn't really need a championship ring because he won so many playoff series.

Is it just me or does McGrady look like a hammer head shark? His eyes must be at least 9 inches apart

Makes for better peripheral vision. Maybe he and Cassell are related.

What does that matter? The only thing that matters is winning the championship. I have never heard people say "Well Barkley doesn't have any championship rings but he did win some playoff series."

what it matters is that you guys are bashing Dirk, who played under a horrendous double team the entire golden state series and got zero help from his teammates. Don't go putting McGrady in the hall yet, he hasn't even sniffed Dirk's jock yet and there is zero chance of Houston winning the West and probably very little chance they get out of the first round.

When the pressure is on Dirk folds like a litle sissy. Now you're making excuses for him? When you're getting paid the money he makes you don't cry about being double teamed. I would also have to believe that since his team was the #1 seed in the West he had help from his team mates.

you must have missed the spurs-mavs series in the western conf finals a couple years back... spurs fans do not have the same opinion

avery johnson deserves more blame than anyone for last year's meltdown against the warriors, nelly owned him in that series... plus g.s. played out of their gd minds

My reply had more to do with making excuses for him more than anything else. If you're the susperstar on the team then there are no excuses.

i hear ya, he did come out publicly and took all the heat in dallas, and their was plenty of it...

even though i like avery, still think he didn't receive near enough blame, but have a feelin if they don't make a run this year, things might start to get hot for him.

Yea, I would think that Dallas is playing to win now, especially afer the Kidd trade.

Unforntunately, it's true - but he did choked against the Heat and Warriors - two teams the Mavs should never have lost to and he was part of the problem - McGrady - hahahaha - is that the guy on the Rockets? - I really only watch the playoffs so he's kind of an unknown to me - has McGrady ever done anything in a meaningful game
