How did I know there would be alot of kiddies in here swinging from Kobe's nuts? Kobe's great and champion - he is the reason TD does not have 7 rings - but I can guarantee you not one GM would start a team with Kobe of Tim - not one

being a spurs fan, i normally agree with you but this time i'll disagree. i think alot of GM would pick kobe to start a team.
i would never put duncan in a class of the BEST player in the NBA but he is #1 when you ask who's the biggest WINNER in the NBA.
TD is two things that 99% of NBA players aren't......total class and a winner!!!!!!
as for the question, KOBE is the best player in the league.

One of the other ways to look at this is simple. Being that most of us are gamblers and If you had a bet going and you was covering your bet by 1 point and only 5 seconds remain on the clock, what player you wouldn't want to have the ball in his hand for the other team....That would be Kobe Bryant...and you can reverse the scenerio....

Five seconds trupms 47 minutes and 55 seconds? That makes no sense at all

Other than James, last years Cavs team was the worst ever in history to make the Finals. This year he was even better. Bryant has never been the best player on a team that went to the Finals. Duncan is one of the 10 best players in history, mostly based on what he was doing five years ago.

I went with Lebron. He is the more well rounded player.

More points, rebs, asts per game.

If I get first pick I'll take Lebron.

Not really since he is not even the best PG in the league.

How can someone who is one of the worst defender in the league be the best player?

The Cavs got to the finals by DEFAULT and got treated accordingly in the finals - you did watch Bowen toy with Lebron - yes or no?

Lebron is a cousin of David Robinson until proven otherwise.

No Paul is... but thats my opinion... In the playoffs everyone has to play D... PG's included. He is a liabilty on D. Big reason Suns have not won anything...

Anyone who gets abused by Smush Parker in the post should not be talked about as the best player in the league... Smush Parker... hahahahahahah

In the East they do - point in case - there are 8 teams representing Eastern Conference this year in the playoffs - of these 8 teams only 5 actually have winning records - so about 1/2 of the Eastern Conference playoff teams do not even have winning records - last year was far worse - as there was not even one real team - this year at least the East has two teams that belong in the post season - meanwhile, back that the ranch - SA and Phoenix are at war in round 1 and the Celtics are 70/1 fav in round 1 - this is why the East has 2 titles since 1999 and routinely are swept in the finals or make the finals totally uncompetitive.

no doubt west is much better then the East.... but we have all seen shocking upsets.... just because a team is expected to win does not make it easy.

I don't disagree - but this East sucks and has sucked far a decade - the C's could win it all - no doubt - but under no circumstances could they beat SA, the Hornets, LA and then DT in the finals - but all they have to do is win one series and they're in the finals.
