I have had nothing but good to say about Royal and its far to early to say things have changed. However: For the last days I havent been able to make a withdrawal to neteller and whats even more annoying: they seem to be completely ignoring the 4-5 mails I have sent them to ask how to place a withdrawal when their neteller is unfunded.
Anyway: up till now they have been excellent. Lets hope nothings wrong - never was before!

I received a free $25 test drive account from lay 107 in early november....

Through some good luck and a few good picks and a winning parlay or two by thanksgiving eve I had app. $350 in the account....

that same night I hit a straight bet on Texas Tech versus Utah, and 3 hockey totals and round robin, got the account up to the sum of $790....

So, thinking somewhere that I read a clause to the free account stating that there was a $500 cap to winnings off the free account, I decided to verify whether or not this was true....for if it was true then why should I risk trying to win more when all I could do was lose under the cap or win money I couldn't collect????

I called Thanksgiving night and the operator I talked to informed me that all thier accounts were the same, that in fact the stipulation was that I could only withdraw $500 at one time, that if I had, say $2000 in the account I could only take out up to $500......

I thought this was a bit strange, but trusted her word while somewhere in the back of my head I should have called later for a confirmation of that policy....

So I took it for granted that I could win more and proceeded to place more bets and actually built the account to a peak of around $1055.....over the course of the next month I lost over 70% of that, then built it back up to around $757. I then decided after seeing some shortfalls in thier lines, or lack of some lines for that matter, that I would move some money out of there just to see how they would respond....

I called customer service to see if they could send me $600. I was told that there was a $500 cap to the winnings, that they would take the $25 startup out of that and I would receive $475. After a neteller fee of $15 that sum now became $460. I asked if the $25 could be taken out of the balance of the account and if they could send me the full $500.....they stated it could not....so I settled for the $460, they said it would take about an hour to process the neteller transaction....I was fine with that.

Two hours later I tried moving the funds out of my neteller account only to see that it hadn't been funded. I called to find out the status of the transaction, asking if they could send me the full $500 and take the $25 from the balance of the account....this different operator told me that was possible...ok, now I got two different answers. As far as the transaction, she stated that the person who authorizes the transactions had left and would not be back till later....

Now I just went to "we can process that in about an hour" to "the person who does that is not around".....what the hell?

Two hours later I called back after trying to finish the neteller transaction, still getting the unfunded neteller account line.....I called cus service again as to the status....this now different operator from the others I talked to said that it would be processed and in my neteller account tomorrow....I was getting the runaround and getting a tad pissed.....so I asked for a supervisor and she told me she could process the transaction.....

A short time later the money was in my neteller account, the $25 startup was subtracted along with the $15 neteller fee.
A short time after that the remaining $253 was listed as a "debit adjustment" and erased from the account, to leave the account at a balance of $0.00.....

Overall I guess I'm grateful at the free shot they gave me, I did earn $460 that I didn't have before.....but thier operators are most definitely undertrained....I had asked one of them how much money I'd have to deposit to activate the whole balance of my account....she was vague about it and stated something to the effect of around $50 or $100....do they even have a set percentage or a specific amount????

I got three different answers as to the status of the neteller transaction....

Then after all that the remaining balance was confiscated and the account balance was zeroed out.

I can definitely say that I'm NOT going to have anything to do with lay 107 or thier affiliates....They have NO overnight lines, they rarely post halftime line on the late games, and they withhold some halftime numbers that they consider beatable that other more reputable sportsbooks offer to thier customers.

I got $460 from them but I spent a complete month wasting my time trying to build up an account that was basically topped out.

After all this they take the remaining $257 and zero out the account.....POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE IN LIGHT OF THE FACT THAT BETTER SPORTSBOOKS HAVE FEW OR NO STIPULATIONS OR LIMITS ON THE WINNINGS.....I will not go back to them, in fact I will run them into the ground via these forums....

you have got to be joking.....you deposited NOTHING to a book, got 460.00 from them AND ARE GOING TO RUN THEM INTO THE GROUND VIA THE FORUMS?

HERE'S A NOVEL IDEA, SINCE YOU ARE SO DISSAPPOINTED WITH THEM, AND ARE GOING TO RUIN THEM, HOW BOUT YOU GIVE THEM BACK THEIR 460.00.....They gave you a free shot, you put up NOTHING, and they paid you, and they are the ones in the wrong.....

lmfao....

Amazing, those of us that have ACTUALLY POSTED UP FUNDS WITH THEM, have had no trouble getting our money out....

Amazing...

Marco-

how much of an ingrateful asshole can one person be?

Yes you definitely should have. In fact you should always get something like this in writing, for instance in their "terms and conditions" of the bonus offer, where you probably previously saw the limit.

quote:
they would take the $25 startup out of that and I would receive $475. After a neteller fee of $15 that sum now became $460.

Do you expect them to let you have a free shot at them AND pay all the fees for you?

quote:
Overall I guess I'm grateful at the free shot they gave me,

but you are going to "run them into the ground via these forums"? Not exactly what I'd call grateful.

Obviously their CS department is having problems, mostly because they have to separate out all the scammers, multiple free accounts, etc from the legit people. Give them a break.

Talk about the epitome of a bonus whore...

What are you kidding me!!! This book has had a shitload of problems. Slow pay problems up the ass in the past. Hell didn't they almost go under once? Olympic, Pinnacle, WWTS, and WSEX has always paid me fast and I have never had a single complaint about these shops.

I'm talking about getting paid and your money being safe. Why take a chance. I'm now hearing new slow pay complaints against Royal.

I looked back at some pages I kept on this offer and found the exact wording they used:

"maximum payout is $500 from the $25 test-drive promotion, unless additional funds are deposited by customer."

I made a number of calls trying to verify the exact amount I would have to deposit to fulfill this clause, and NO ONE COULD TELL ME AN EXACT AMOUNT OR PERCENTAGE OF MY ACCOUNT TO SATISFY THIS CLAUSE......NO ONE.....

Thier staff is OBVIOUSLY UNDERTRAINED AND UNINFORMED on thier own policies.....

If they are this vague and inspecific about giving a precise or exact answer to this clause, would you in my position feel like running out to send them money knowing very well that they'd have some other vague stipulation to overcome? I seriously doubt it.

As far as dealing with a sportsbook that has had problems in the past....I was dealing with this sportsbook only because they gave me a free account and I thought I'd see what they were like, what lines they offered and how thier service was.

There are some first class operations out there who give out bonuses and award contest money....these same sportsbooks don't have vague rules included....most of these first class books allow you to do what you want with the winnings....

What sportsbooks do with bonuses and awards, or in essence THIER money, is a strong indicator of how you will be treated with YOUR money. I would be very cautious of sending money to a book that has showed a tendency to waffle on paying an account funded by bonus money.....if a book is willing to pay out money from an account funded from thier own money then it is a better indication that you may actually get paid when you withdraw money from an account that YOU funded. I hope we all agree on that.

I received the free $25 account and at one time I had the account balance up to approximately $1055.I'm curious to know how this matter would have played out had I sent them the $25 myself and run the account up to $1055. I guess in the first case scenario I'd be a leech and in the second case I'd be some sort of hero for beating the book on such a small startup. Apparently there is a big difference in the source of the $25.

As far as being a bonus whore....no, I don't engage in the practice of moving money out of accounts to start up somewhere else to grab 5 or 10 or whatever percentage they're willing to add. I've won and collected money and I've also lost money that I sent off. Someone please tell me the name of a sportsbook that limits the amount of money you can LOSE to them. Then tell me the number of books that have stipulations on how much you can win.....betting limits.....barring of players they consider sharp...

Considering the fact that in this industry about 5% of the gamblers actually walk away winners, one would think most sportsbooks wouldn't be concerned with a little bonus money. In fact they would be more concerned with attracting new customers knowing full well in the long term the book will collect. The industry is not one that there are just too many gamblers out there and just anyone can throw out numbers and open up a shop. Most of the gamblers who are playing offshore are already playing with respectable books, happy with the service they receive, and the incoming books have to attract new customers from the pool of gamblers already playing.

How many bars can exist in the same area knowing that there are only a certain number of drinkers out there???

The delays in paying are the result of the fact that over 5,000 freebie munchers took advantage of the free $25 account offer. Naturally, there were many who cheated by opening multiple accounts. Royal's policy as I understand it is to verify that each account requesting a payout be unique: e.g. that person only has one account). Not everybody at Royal is qualified to determine that, and I doubt that the free accounts have as high a priority as the regular customers or other business. As a result, it might take a while before the free account is verified as valid and payment is made.

I can accept some delay in light of the fact of the large number of people involved with these free accounts....

One thing I also forgot to mention was along with the what has already been said, when I asked for the withdrawal they had requested that I send them a photocopy of my id, which was understandable to prevent multiple accounts by the same person....

I HAD ALREADY SENT THEM A PHOTOCOPY OF MY ID AND FAXED IT TO THIER NUMBER. Maybe they just throw it on the floor and let the janitor sweep them up. So I went out and sent them another one and started the fiasco stated earlier.

Some of you think I'm an asshole for beating them out of money that they posted up.

Like I said before, name me one sportsbook out there that will place a limit on how much one person can LOSE.

They'll snarf your money up like a hungry dog and take all they can get.

The more I think of this the more this sounds like the people who beat the casino for too much money or win too often, pretty soon the pit boss comes over and tells them to leave and take thier business elsewhere. Little wonder new casinos pop up like mushrooms when you install policies that ban the successful gamblers and leave the other clusters of gamblers there to pay for all the new glitter....

Nah, we just think you're a collosal ingrate for getting $460 free dollars and then bitching about how you had to suffer a delay and deal with a minimum wage clerk who didn't speak the King's English. Oh, the horror of it all!

I remember them posting $500 max payout on the lay107 test drive. I got two quick payouts from a different promotion that didn't have a max payout.
