Cards suck.

UK wins because of their defense. Much more experience for UK coming back. They will play slow by running the ball and letting their defense own Louisville.

After seeing what UL put on the field last year, how can anyone bet on their first game with any level of confidence? I'm waiting to see what they look like before I start laying anything on them.

They sucked last year and they lost 4 receivers including Douglas and Urrutia.
And they lost some guy named Brian Brohm.
They lost 3 RB's from last year (suspensions, transfers etc...).

I think they have 4 defensive starters coming back.

30 miles south of Louisville here. Have a healthy dislike for U of L, but i'm with you on this one. I'll take the more experienced QB and a good one at that in Cantwell and the home field here. I see a lot on the board about UK's defense being too much cause they return 8 starters. Give me a break, their defense is not that good, they only won games last year in which they scored 40 or more points...the lone exception being at Vandy (27-20). Kentucky 3-6 ATS last 9 vs. Louisville. Fade the board.

I took the cards because I think their QB will out play KY QB and that will be the difference in the game.
I made it a 4 unit bet.

You have to put points on the board to win and im not sold on Curtis Pulley. Louisville by 10.

Bragg - that's my point. But at the same time, they have other players. We just don't know who they are or what they can do. I'm leaning to Kentucky in this game, but the Cats dont have a QB and I am extremely hesitant to bet on any team that has no QB. This may be gambling, but people need to exercise appropriate judgement and money management skills. Sometimes the best play is no play at all.

Haha...Pulley is not on the team, he was booted for off the field issues. Louisville is the smarter play, though i don't mind pulling for UK football.

lol ...

keep up.

Pulley is not on the team.

It is Hartline and fresh randall cobb.

Louisville:
Lost Brian Brohm
Lost 4 receivers including Douglas and Urrutia
Lost 3 RB's
Have 4 starters on a sucky defense returning.

Fuck who is their QB Hartline?

Name a good player on louisville that has proven themselves.
Cantwell is decent, but he has only played in 2 games. Is that much more experience then Hartline?

UK's RB's are loaded: Dixon, Locke, A.Smith
Dicky Lyons returning.

And yes ... UK's defense is good.

Yea I totally missed/forgot about that.

Kentucky:

Lost Woodson
Lost Rafael Little
Lost their top three wide receivers

Where is the offense going to come from?

Kentucky was also on probation, so we sucked over those years. The last couple of years have been better.
We actually have scholarships to offer now since we are not on probation.

Losing Woodson hurts.
Little was probably the 3rd best back on the team.
Locke and Dixon are better than him.

We still got Lyons and some good young WR's.

Overall, UK has more talent coming back. Anything can happen in a rivalry game, but UK should win this one. If they lose ... they lose, but I won't argue with the talent level. UK has much more talent coming back then Louisville. HANDS DOWN!

Maybe you missed my post...UK had to score 40+ EVERY time they won last year except once. So explain to me how they are going to score 40 today without Woodson or Little or a more relevant receiver than Dickie Lyons? The improvement you are going to see today is from the Louisville defense...new coordinator and all they needed was an attitude adjustment, they just had a bunch of players who didn't give a shit last year. Cantwell over Hartline is a significant advantage.

I think this is a good post.
