I am. I am getting this eerie feeling that something bad is going to happen right after the Big Game. This is just an eerie feeling I have. Hopefully someone here can make me a bit more optimistic.
If gamblers are smart enough to keep low enough balances that rent money or college tuition money is not at stake, it isnt an issue. if you know who you are doing business with well, that would certainly help. It seems critical that you have either a history or a huge
that someone is strong financially. if those elements are in place, you are going to be o.k. and not get hurt even if a place comes up lame.
When you have your money in a book that is a real company that is traded on the stock exchange (betwwts), you can rest assured you'll get your money back. If you're at the smaller books, then you might have reason to be worried...
i am still offering a reward to anyone that can help me find "kingsbet/crown intertel". they closed up shop after the super bowl in '01 with $7,700. of my money. still pissed at myself for having money at a book that i knew was not top shelf. "live and learn" they say.
Pinnacle goes broke under the weight of being pounded by the syndicates at -105, panic ensues, and the entire sports betting industry collapses from the massive run on the bank this would cause.
Never have more money deposited in ANY Sportsbook than you can afford to have stolen from you today. If you will suffer financially with this money being stolen, then get it out NOW.
The approach I took last year and plan on doing this year, Take out money after Conference championship and play with trusted locals for Super Bowl and props. Smartiest way I can think of. Not trying to play these little, "they have deep pockets or they will can trusted or they're sharp " BS offshore games. Not going to get GA'ed or Blue Marlined (and the list goes on) if I can help it.
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR> BTW, why all the doom and gloom lately about Pinnacle. <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
It's not "gloom and doom". It's "be careful" and "watch your ass". I was saying the same thing about Aces Gold when all the hustlers were pumping them up (and raping them) and only had something like 36 cents left there when they finally bit it while the ones who flamed me lost their asses. In this environment there is NO SUCH THING as a book that "can't fail" or is untouchable.
I would say... keep playing at Pinny, but do not keep your balances too high there or anywhere else. What is so doom and gloom about that?
i keep low balances and am not worried about any book i am with. My list:
Pinnacle
Cris
Rio
Hollywood
jazz
Grande
Cascade
canbet
a couple of locals. I am ultra confident here.
