I think the fact that the 4 front-runners being simply the QB-RB from the top two teams in the country show that it's obvious that this award no longer means anything.

It hasn't been the "nations most outstanding player" for a long time.

However in this case the "rb from the best team" just so happens to be the most outstanding player in the country.

Bush deserves it but there are a ton of other players who should be considered including (GASP) defensive players.

Ya CAN NOT consider Bush ... Peterson was the best rb in the country and Bush may be a great athlete but no way in heck he finishes ahead of Peterson ...

Gut tells me Leinart wins this thing ...

I would not bet AGAINST those being the top 3 in exact order....unless you gave me substantial odds.

Peterson SHOULD win, but this Heisman thing is a FRAUD also! The freshman status will keep him from getting it. Along with the BCS, biggest joke in CFB. Peyton Manning got ROBBED!

Peterson wins if they will consider a freshman, prolly not. White already has one, so i guess USC QB is the choice. Not my choice but i dont have a vote.

If you guys want to talk about #'s there are better people to talk about

Stefan Lefors, Louisville QB
185.4 Passer Rating (Leads Nation)
18 TD/2 INT
74% completion % (Leads Nation)
2403 Yards
10.40 yards per attempt (Leads Nation)

Dante Ridgeway, Ball State WR
105 Catches (Leads Nation)
1399 Yards (Leads Nation)
8 TD
127.18 YPG (Leads Nation)
13.32 YPC

JJ Arrington, Cal RB
Only RB in the country to have 100+ yards in every game
1845 Yards (Leads Nation)
6.99 YPC (Leads Nation

Omar Jacobs from Bowling Green had a much better season than did Jason White.

Fact is...those who were invited are NOT the most outstanding players in the country.

So don't give me that **** about "he doesn't have the #'s"

Are you guys even following the sport?

The Heisman is the biggest fraud in sports. You're right. As I stated above...

There are 25 players who should be considered. Not 4.

Hope it is Leinhart but this past weekend's numbers padded White's stats and believe he was the only threat with the voters to Leinhart going into the weekend.

Heisman Goes to...........

I read an on line Washington Times article today which quoted an inside source that 81% of the heisman ballots had been turned in before the Big 12 game. That seems impossible to believe. Can anyone confirm this?

Leinart is still the favorite but look out for this Peterson kid! I can't see White winning it after he tanked at the end of last year.

I can't confirm it...but I do know that the same thing was reported the last two seasons. Voters are not taking the championship game into account as much because not everyone plays one. Seems fair... I can see it argued both ways.
