The screen scraping technology is the hardest part with poker bots, the actual coding of the logic is relatively easy. I did a poker bot in Java as part of my final university project (acting as the AI for a J2ME Poker game for mobile telephones), but wouldn't have a clue how to go about screen scraping the clients.
It seems unnecessary too. You've got to adjust it for every different site there is, except the network sites. Why bother spending so much time making a program for all these sites when you can finish the bonus clearing in 20 minutes? They must have had multiple ISPs, multiple Netellers and set it up so they could gnome.

Poker bots are out there. I have seen them in person. I passed on the opportunity as it is cheating other players. Casinos are pond scum, so I don't mind squeezing them for what I can. Taking from other players with the use of a bot is a little too evil, even for me.

Getting that crash before rollover is a common fear. Another fear is a higher losing rate when bets are upped. None of this has ever been substantiated with any of the major software platforms...with the exception of Boss Media. Even that was very obscure.

I disagree. I don't believe the best bot can beat the best player - Hey it is not my fault if you are a bad player...

That's a lot of hands. Millions of hands back during the glory days of 2x bonus wager requirement must have been so much money. You must have made $300k+.

Most of these hands were recorded after the glory days. They were not just my hands, but everyone involved in this as a whole. Over 5 million were mine alone though.

The original bot was designed for the old Unified Gambling (UG) blackjack game. This game, with perfect play gave the player a .22% advantage over the house without any bonuses involved. We hit that for almost 2 years before they finally adjusted the game rules. We then expanded the bot to run on all major software platforms. This was an extremely intensive project that constantly needs upgrading.

This is about as naive a statement as I have heard from you.

Interesting find today at Casinomeister regarding the double up feature on Microgaming video poker machines.

If you click on double after a win the dealer picks a card then you pick one and if your card is higher you double your winnings. Well at the new ez bonus casinos if you wave your mouse over your balance it will show you cash available + bonus = balance. When you hit the double button just wave the mouse over your balance and you will see if you will win or not! That's really messed up....must be a software glitch or something. So the bottom line I guess is if you win it does not matter what card you take, you can tell before you even pick a card. I could not believe it when I read the thread at CM so I tried it today at trident and sure enought it is true. Not sure if this makes a difference or not but I am hestitant to do this at the MG casinos now.

yeah the double up is predetermined as soon as you hit double with Microgaiming. It doesn't change anything, but it bothers me as well.

Pinnacle has a similar thing where your balance is already credited
before the hand with a blackjack is fully played out. This does not
bother me particularly but this year i have not had a losing day and
am up 200 units.
