my local is awesome. lucked out. been using him for 4 years. $500 pay in or pay out either way. always collected, always drop by his place to pay. The fact I hang out with him regularly and get drinks, dinners, tailgating just makes it like you are paying a friend.

I mean, if I had to go back offshore I would but I have never had to worry about where my money is, when I will get it, how I will get it to you and if there is a chance they will fold/say they are not paying

like i said, I lucked out though as I have heard horror stories

Mine is the same way - dinner, drinks, tickets to games, 10% back in Bonus Play if I have to pay...it really can't be beat. Everything is online and I can bet anything I could possibly want. Offshore guys want to give me a shitty 50% bonus with a 10x rollover...fuck that. Not to mention the hassles in getting paid. Just isn't worth it at all.

True story - he texted me tonight to tell me to hammer the Ravens. Told me he was sure they would cover, also advised taking the TT o23.5

Guy made me a lot of money during baseball season too, is a good baseball capper.

I have never bet with anything other then locals. A moderate carry figure, meet for a beer to settle when needed. Much less complicated then offshore.

no offense hc but this is the silliest thing ive ever heard of. i may give a few struggling bettors who i need and warn them beforehand that i will not accept their bet or to place it somewhere else. but i definitely dont accept their wager.

We are buddies. I'm one of the smaller bettors at his book so he doesn't really care.

It was really more tongue-in-cheek anyway, obviously if he could pick winners every time he'd be better off on the other side of the counter.

I had it really good.....pinny, match, access to BW through a few runners and over 200k in credit. Came in so handy for futures and long term props not having to tie up money. I would still post up off shore for bonuses etc which I funneled into my credit accounts and met up with a very well known guy in the industry about once a month to settle the figure. Those were the days. That all came crashing down in 2010 though. The whole cash in hand thing and meeting face to face sure was nice. I envy those that have a stand up agent/local.
