They were running a promo giving new accounts free commissions on their first 50 trades. Not sure if still doing, check website.

Funds can be made through EFT bank deposit or personal check.

ameritrade for stocks,,,,, for commodities, i trade with "redlands futures and options" ,,, they clear through rj obrien.... if your trading thin markets, it may be better to use a broker............. heart222 (a poster here and friend of mine) works for AG Edwards in DC and has for the last 30yrs..... you can email him if you like,,, he can answer these questions of yours really well.....

I was a commodity broker for a short time in 1996-1997, never found the niche i was looking for and got out, but working ont he floor of the board of trade can be a rush like nothing else.

Right now we need to look at Gasoline future options and getting a little out of the money on some contracts. This **** is going up only in the long run, through the roof in fact, millions can be made here.

I will be in shortly myself.

Ameritrades website is some awful concieved crap that looks like it should have been left in 1999. I mean terrible interface design. Other than that no complaints.

I use scottrade, while the commision is cheap and the transactions are fast it is lacking in 1 major department. It is near impossible for me to trade BB stocks and penny stocks. I am supposed to call to do those. Who wants to call this day and age?
