i really think this is the CUBS year...been my favorite team now for about 43 years and god have i been waiting to say this every year about this same time....i really think is the CUBS year...check back with me sometime in late august of early september for results....let's do this thing this year...go CUBS>>>jeffksu

I think it's possible. The two keys are:
1. Starting pitchers' health;
2. The maturation of Murton/Cedeno

If these things come through it could be a really really good year for the north siders imo. If you look at it carefully the Cubs should be strenghtened in every aspect either by trade or health. Only time will tell. Very possible though.

Also have a hunch that Alfonso Soriano may be the Cubs 2nd baseman by mid-March. Though I'm not sure if this would be good or bad.

One very obvious reason to me this is the year the streak ends for Atlanta. NO LEO MAZZONE!



For those that love the Cubs to finish well, I as a Cards fan believe they will come back strong this year, is that even Chicago media nor many fans expect anything out of them. This is usually when they do well!

100% true, as i stated earlier in this post, Thats one of the best things about baseball season comign soon, the NCAA TOURNAMENT!!!! 11 AM till 11 PM worth of games on those 2st two days are like the best 2 days of the entire year. In fact nothing is really close to those days in my book.

Completely agree...that first Thursday and Friday are two of the best days of the year. I get siked just thinking about 'em...that whole weekend is fucking terrific. Can't wait.

Very much looking forward to the upcoming season. Not for betting purposes but simply a longtime, diehard Giants fan ever since they arrived in San Francisco from New York in the late 50's. Likes First 2 Weeks of the Baseball season pretty good. The DOGGIES get the money alot dureing that time period. As a Doggie player and a Cubs Total player, love it when the Wind is blowing out and they are scared to death to hang up the number in the morning as the Overnighters have been pounded already. last season they went an amazing 175-74... for 99 or 250 they ask i actually dont mind spending the cash.

i really like the giants this year, love the pitching staff is schmidt is healthy... i think schmidt, morris, lowry, cain is a very solid staff... also if the pirates can somehow get 30-32 wins out of kip wells and oliver perez i think they could contend for the wildcard (i know u guys will be all over me with that prediction)
