HA! I just came across one of the old ESB newsletters that they used to mail out on a regular basis. Got me to thinking about the early days of offshore wagering. The first place I played at was Betmaker. Wanted a second out, and at the time I didn't know what was out there, who was reliable, etc. Came across English Sport Betting, because they were all over the internet. I think it was $89 I paid for a "membership fee" What a sucker!
I will say, I was one of the lucky ones not to get stiffed by ESB. I received several payouts without a hitch. Then I requested a payout shortly after the Super Bowl (don't remember what year) and it took about three or four calls to finally get paid. That made me nervous enough to stay away, and shortly after that was when customers ran into all sorts of problems.
