After all the big trades have been made, and the season comes down the home stretch who do you see winning it all come October?
I would have said Boston a week ago, but trading such a presence as Manny I just don't see it likely anymore. Their lineup isn't as strong as it was in recent years and their bullpen is to shaky.
I'm sure they will somehow find a way to blow it, but as of today I see the Cubs winning it all. Bringing Harden in only bolstered a strong starting rotation that will feature Zambrano, Harden, Dempster, and Lilly come playoff time. They did a nice job in adding another arm in the pen with Gaudin, and Marmol looks like he is getting back on track the past week or so. They have a lineup that can matchup favorably with the AL teams, and many of their big bats aren't hitting with as much power as expected. Pinella is manager that bring toughness to the team that I think will finally get the job done this year.
