If Felix pitched for the Pirates and Hughes pitched for Seattle I'd be on St Louis

this season he gave up 5R against DET, 6R against BOS, 5R against BAL, then after he left DL 2R-6H against CLE, he was ok against TOR with 2R-4H and the last game he got smoked with 7R. he pitched a max of 6 innings, being that game against TOR. your 7IP 2R 10K type of performance analysis was good for a laughter, but come on now. you know hughes is a bad pitcher now, im not talking about past season or whatever, but with that avatar its just very hard to admit. gl on the action today.

you do realize he was injured at the beginning of the year? he is a young 24 yr old kid who was throwing 89, now up to 93-94 he had dead arm and im sure if any pitcher had dead arm they would have had those lines too, i dont count them, look at his stats since he has gotten back

He pitched 6 innings against the Blue Jays that used their 'B' lineup
No Bautista that game, he faced Hall of Famers like R. Davis, Thames, Corey Patterson that game.
Hell, the shortstop Escobar hit third that game.
Shut them down?
6 innings 2 earned 4 hits 2 walks is not shutting them down, it's in between a decent to pretty good start, shut them down? I think not. That lineup was softer than cream cheese.

it is shutting them down because he was at what 89 pitches? so if he went one more inning 7innings 2runs, that isnt shutting them down? winning a game isnt shutting them down? come on bill

Seattle is not the '27 Yankees, but they do have enough sticks to take advantage of Hughes mistakes.
Hughes is a pig, good for a few mistakes a game, Ichiro is .375 against him, the center fielder hits him.

Yankees really don't hit King 67 for 274 (.245) Swisher is only .216 but has taken him deep 4 times.
Tex and Cano have hit him in the past.

Listen, NYY are at home, they are playing a team that has lost 17 straight, yet (I realize whose on the mound) they are -142.
Joe Public can't run to the window fast enough to get his Yankee bets placed.
Joe Public is pissing in his pants with excitement that he can get the NYY at HOME at an extremely reasonable price of -142.

Poor Joe Public will be flushing his NYY tickets when he looks up and sees this at 4pm

Final
NYY 3 9 1
Sea 6 11 0

M's 6-3

Thanks Bill

yeah he was really great yesterday, 9 hits in 6IP and only 3K's..he was lucky he only got 2 runs against. hopefully you realize how bad he is after yesterdays game.
